Maybeboard

This is a pure Mono Black aggro ramp equipment deck aka Black Artos or Black Equip.

Strategy and Game Plan The strategy of this deck revolves around a few key pillars:

  • Mana Ramp and Consistency:

  • Fast Mana: Cards like Dark Ritual, Sol Ring and Arcane Signet provide early mana acceleration to enable quick deployment of threats and ramp spells. Swamp Tutors and Ramp: Liliana of the Dark Realms, Burnished Hart, Solemn Simulacrum, Explorer's Scope, Traveler's Amulet, Wanderer's Twig and Explorer's Scope help ensure you hit your land drops and ramp efficiently, allowing for the casting of high-cost spells earlier in the game. Equipping Cheap Creatures:

  • Equipment: Bloodforged Battle-Axe, Cranial Plating, and Sword of Hearth and Home can quickly turn even small creatures into significant threats.

Best Equipments Show

  1. Cheap Creatures: Low-cost creatures such as Dauthi Slayer, Gifted Aetherborn, Nantuko Shade, and Gurmag Swiftwing are prime targets for these equipments, often attacking with increased power and providing early game pressure. Powerful Spells and Finishers:

  2. Big Spells: High-impact cards like Exsanguinate, In Garruk's Wake, Damnation, and Grave Titan can turn the tide in your favor by either dealing massive damage, wiping the board, or generating value. Tutors: Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Tutor, and Profane Tutor provide consistency by fetching the needed pieces from your deck.

  3. Utility and Control:

Spot removal such as Doom Blade, Go for the Throat, and Diabolic Edict helps deal with problematic creatures, while board wipes like Mutilate and In Garruk's Wake handle larger threats. Graveyard Interaction: Cards like Reanimate, Coffin Queen, and Grave Betrayal allow for graveyard manipulation, creating additional value and synergy with your creatures and opponents' creatures alike.

  • Game Flow
  • Early Game:

  • Focus on ramping and setting up. Play your mana rocks (Arcane Signet, Sol Ring), fetch lands (Renegade Map, Traveler's Amulet, Wanderer's Twig), and cast early creatures. Equip your cheap creatures to apply pressure and force early removal from opponents.

  • Mid Game:

  • Transition to playing more significant threats and removal. Utilize tutors to fetch key pieces and start gaining control of the board. Continue to equip creatures and possibly reanimate threats from your graveyard or your opponents'. Late Game:

  • Aim to cast your high-impact spells to either swing the game in your favor or close it out. Exsanguinate and Grave Titan can be game-ending, while board wipes help reset unfavorable situations. Leverage your equipments to maintain pressure and secure victory through sustained aggression and resilience. This deck aims to be a versatile and robust mono-black aggro ramp deck, capable of handling various threats and opponents while consistently applying pressure through equipped creatures and powerful spells.
