Clockwurk,
Maybe you missed this in the Strategy and Card Choices section:

GREAT CARDS I'M NOT USING AND WHY: Natural State: It's great for Authority of the Consuls, Fevered Visions, and Smuggler's Copter. But I need something that can hit big Vehicles and other bombs.

Also, I've had Collective Defiance as a three-of or four-of on this deck's mainboard since the very beginning.

Thanks though.

Have you considered the Silverfur Partisan and Zada, Hedron Grinder combo?

DarthSmitty,
Oh yes ... no kidding, from the day Silverfur Partisan was first spoiled! :-)

Is Mirrorwing Dragon and Zada, Hedron Grinder an infinite combo or no?

September 22, 2016 2:18 p.m.

Vandyel says... #6

Hamster2558

Mirrorwing and Zada don't trigger each other's abilities. Both of them trigger on cast and then create copies. Because the copies are not actually cast they don't trigger either Mirrorwing or Zada.

Hamster2558,
Yeah, the answer hasn't changed since Post #12 :-)

Athraithe,
It's a minor point, but not everyone on this thread is a guy. Sure "guys" is a gender-neutral term in many places, but not everywhere. Plus, more inclusive language = better :-)

hamiam,
Thanks much!

Have you considered Natural State over Root Out?

September 23, 2016 10:03 a.m.

_Delta_ says... #12

Actually, Root Out can deal with things like the gearhulks which will likely see play so maybe leave those cards alone for now.

I know a friend I will have to share this deck with, they originally had a werewolf deck with Silverfur Partisan etc, but they will like this Kaladesh version as they do happen to use Mirrorwing Dragons. Thanks for making this, as I'm sure it will convince them to try something like this. Sorry for all of the individual posts.

Yeah, you may have missed this in the Strategy and Card Choices section: GREAT CARDS I'M NOT USING AND WHY: Natural State: It's great for Authority of the Consuls, Fevered Visions, and Smuggler's Copter. But I need something that can hit big Vehicles and other bombs.

Yeah I forgot you had it mentioned there, even though I read it before I just forgot.

Been playing some more with it and definitely going too build this deck. Already have every non Kaladesh card except for the double lands so it shouldn't be to expensive. It has a very nice win rate. The only thing i really struggle against is a control deck. When your fast attackers get bounced, countered or destroyed before you can attack you're going to have a rough time.

How about bristling hydra?

I love the deck idea, but why not trash Fleetwheel Cruiser in favor of Architect of the Untamed\Aethertorch Renegade? That and why not Mainboard Blossoming Defense in favor of Renegade Tactics?

+1 from me.

Finally catching up on comments ...

PhydomiR,
Thanks much! And yeah, Control is really tough, especially anyone running Authority of the Consuls. The key, I think, is to hold back as long as possible, playing land and banking Energy for One Big Turn. Makes me think the deck may need more Haste enablers after all ...

salistar,
You may not have seen this in the Strategy and Card choices section:
GREAT CARDS I'M NOT USING AND WHY: Bristling Hydra: Just not as good as the other 4-drop options.

Thanks though!

Hipparion,
On Architect of the Untamed, you may not have seen this in the Strategy and Card choices section:
GREAT CARDS I'M NOT USING AND WHY: Architect of the Untamed: Solid option, if this was a more dedicated Energy deck.

On Fleetwheel Cruiser vs. Aethertorch Renegade, I just can't imagine swapping a 5/3 with Trample and Haste for 4 for a 1/2 pinger for 3. Renegade might work fine, but it needs a deck that can more reliably get 8 Energy counters.

Thanks though!

Argeaux,
Thanks much!

To be honest StuBi has a dedicated Energy deck and we tested Architect of the Untamed and it was shit for it.

Getting 1 EC for each land is a VERY slow way of accruing them. Something like Longtusk Cub is better.

There are also so many better things you can do with 8EC than make a 6/6.

You could have turned your Longtusk Cub into 6/6, for starters.

Very cool deck, I might order all the cards for FNM :)

I'm really liking this deck, played a few games with it and won nearly all of them. Very solid deck, quick to win yet still fun to play. I remember I did 12 damage by turn T3 in one swing. Brawler on T2, Uncaged fury on T3 and pay all the energy to pump him. Very good deck, keep this on the down low so I can roll through weekly at my FNMs :)

September 27, 2016 1:13 a.m.

Athraithe says... #24

PBNSurprise a whole 2 energy to bump him up to 12 damage? cuz you can only pump in 2 energy per attack phase

September 27, 2016 1:41 a.m.

clayperce says... #25

Athraithe,
I think you meant, "you can only pump in 1 energy per attack phase".

PBNSurprise,
Thanks so much! If you end up playing the deck, please keep us updated on your match-ups and how it does!

Yeah Voltaic Brawler is great, but like Athraithe pointed out, he's not 12-points-of-damage-on-T3 great (well, at least not in Standard). "Whenever ~ attacks, you may pay " limits the amount you can pump in. Cards like Longtusk Cub and Harnessed Lightning, on the other hand, are great Energy sinks.

Thanks again though!
