Well. I have looked hard and wide myself at Glen Elendra Archmage and it is generally not going to do what you want it to do since it has no flash. I'm unsure about 4x Surgical Extraction in the mainboard when you do not have at least 4x IoK and/or 4x Thoughtseize around. But I also see it more as a SB card I guess?
I think this sort of UB modern control (which faeries is not) without Bitterblossom, Mistbind Clique and Scion of Oona would do a lot better. Spellstutter Sprite is pretty powerful on her own even without Bitterblossom.
I would also do -1 Sword of Feast and Famine and +1 Sword of Light and Shadow.

continuum I'm gunna take your adivce & proxy playtest a bit! Last week my Tr0n deck was able to take down a very well build Jund thanks to Slaughter Games, so the thought with surgical is to scrub threats out of the game. fuck your options.
Cheers !!

Yeah it's nice to just rip out combo pieces or strong threats. But, hrm, I don't know. I like them better with more discard available. I like thuzra's deck a lot though. I would play that sh---stuff. Yeah, I would play the stuff out of that stuff. Do tell me how the Ashioks work out in a faerie shell though. I would love to hear some feedback on that card in modern.

continuum Once I get my hands on some Oblitorators I plan to build a U/B cruel control variant. Faeries is getting built quick. I'm 12 cards away & only 2 of them are costly. I'm hoping to bring it to modern night next week. Ashiok has done solid work for me before, all i see is value for fae.

This looks really interesting... I've been looking forward to the return of Faeries to the Modern format, since it's been a dead deck for quite some time, and this looks promising! Maybe this is just the ramblings of a Johnny-combo-freak, but I think you could get leagues out of something like Ninja of the Deep Hours. It's an MVP favourite of mine - best card-advantage for your dollar, in many spots.
On a more serious note, I don't think Ashiok is quite where you want to be. You seem pretty devoted to Faeries, so most of the shenanigans you're pulling are instant speed. Ashiok is just kinda slow, and doesn't really have good synergy with the other cards. If you can cast it reliably on turn 3, in the right deck, it can be the best thing to be doing. Under many other circumstances, it could be the worst. Affinity, for example, doesn't care if you try to mill them out, because if that's the backup plan you're going for against them, you're already dead.
With regards to numbers, I feel like 3 Cryptics is really asking for it, or just really greedy; you don't have too much in the way of cantrips to find your lands, and you have three more 4-drops, already. If you want to add Obliterator to this, you are going to be stretched thin. I think you could cut one each of Cryptic and Mistbind Clique, adding another Murderous Cut and Remand. And if you want to get really, really cheeky, you could add Shadow of Doubt and/or Squelch for those pesky fetchlands! They're basically 2cmc instant-speed Stone Rains that deal a damage and draw a card! They also have other applications, but how you use them is up to you, of course.
This is all that comes to mind at the moment... Perhaps as it develops further, something more will come to me. Looks good, though, so +1

This deck hath made me quite moist.
I shall give you my opinion as I have previously had. Hopefully you shall appreciate it.
I'd like to begin by saying that the creeping tar pits may be a bit excessive, due to your having four mutavaults and also the tar pit not being a faerie kind of makes me not want you to play.
4x Island, 4x Polluted Delta, 4x Watery Grave, 3x Swamp and 2x Drowned Catacomb will round off the basic-related landbase, that is fourteen.
2x Darkslick Shores will be your scarland section.
4x Mutavault and 1x Tectonic Edge are your tech-lands.
Sword and Skull are good tech choices. I like the inclusion of Ashiok, but consider playing Jace Architect because of the power he presents against token decks.
The creature section is perfect. A good 12.
TBH this deck is really good. I would cut a cryptic for a fourth Remand.
