I'm not quite sure how to properly describe this deck. Obviously, the whole point of the deck is to trigger the Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia     meld. However, the supporting cast isn't fully focused or defined. Right now I'm blending budget Artifacts + Rakdos Sacrifice strategies with a semi-Phyrexian theme. I'm not sure if I need to focus more strongly on one rather than the other.

This deck is based off of my build in Historic Brawl on Arena, where I have access to some more powerful cards such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse & Portal to Phyrexia. Sheoldred is a bit too pricey for my tastes right now. I'm waiting for it to rotate out of Standard to see if the price drops. I hope it doesn't keep creeping up! I attempted to pick up a copy of the Portal, but my LGS is sold out of that single. sigh!

I've tweaked the deck to include some mana rocks: Arcane Signet, Rakdos Locket, Rakdos Signet, and Sol Ring. I've also added 2 cards I was able to purchase from my LGS: Evolved Sleeper & Tenacious Underdog.

To get a feel for this deck, I played a 4-way test using this site's playtest feature vs. 3 of my other EDH decks: Kambal, Nicol Bolas, and Muldrotha. The playtest went really well. It's hard to say how that match would have played out with real opponents playing some table politics, though. It didn't 'win', but eliminated 1 opponent (Nicol Bolas) and came in 2nd place overall (lost to Muldrotha). I'm very excited to see how this deck will play IRL!

UPDATE 03/06/2023: I had the opportunity to play this deck last night. I felt really good about how it was playing. I even pulled off the Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia     meld! Everyone ganged up on me after that, but it was worth it!
