I bought this--the Mishra's Burnished Banner precon from The Brothers' War--when the set released, but it took most of the year before I found time to sit down and make some adjustments. Partly, it's a relatively complex, interesting deck, and I didn't want to break it before I fully understood it; partly I realized I kind of just prefer spending my time on decks I built from scratch. What I have now is not a huge departure from the original, but includes a few tweaks that I think should help it out. There'll probably be a few more coming in the future as I make some decisions and grab some additional cards.

Some of the notable changes are:

In: The Mightstone and Weakstone  , Out: Dreamstone Hedron

Mishra's whole thing is to copy an artifact each turn, and the stones here are a great target for that. The Hedron was nice since the copy can potentially give you three cards each time, but the stones offer two with no mana cost or tap, or it can just kill, say, your opponent's 5-toughness commander again and again. As a mana rock, this is a little more restricted, but there are so many artifacts in this deck that it's probably fine.

In: Marionette Master, Out: Geth, Lord of the Vault

Marionette Master will hit an opponent each turn when you have to sacrifice the artifact copy that Mishra created. I expect you'll usually want to pick the Fabricate option that puts +1/+1 counters on it, but I can imagine some situations where the Servo tokens are useful, too. Nadier's Nightblade serves a similar role, and I may add a Mirkwood Bats, too.

In: Mishra, Tamer of Mak Fawa, Out: Scavenged Brawler

There are a lot of ETB and sacrifice effects for artifacts in here, so Unearth lets you squeeze a last bit of value out of them. Ward on everything doesn't hurt either, and I suppose another Mishra is on theme.

Repeatable scry + draw is better than draw alone, and I think the lifegain is a little more useful than mana filtering. I'll probably replace this with a Prized Statue once I have one.
