Deck featuring many instants and sorceries with Mizzix of the Izmagnus as the Commander. I've been wanting to play a deck featuring this theme, but seem to have trouble surviving enemy creatures.

Perhaps graveyard recursion is one answer?

Obviously I want to use his cost-reduction. Throwing a gentle mana curve of spells in my deck doesn't seem like it would be powerful enough for EDH. Perhaps I have a lot of 1 and 2-mana instants for the first turn he's out, then increase the mana curve significantly?

Anti-Maelstrom Wanderer cards are: Double Negative, Counterflux, and Gather Specimens.
