Yes, I used to play it but I didn't like the unstability it brings. Furthermore, it would mean splashing black or changing every land to get my old 5 colours mana-base back.

But it helps getting my hand on Puresteel Paladin turn 1.

I might think about it again.

Also no offense but this deck isn't really competitive, please take the tag off.

(not offended at all but just to understand your opinion) Why do you say it isn't competitive?

This is the modern metagame right now. I know those decks and this deck well enough to see that you're unlikely to beat many of the decks in the modern meta very often. I can go into the specifics of each matchup, but you should be able to see what I mean. For this deck and others, you should test against those decks if you want to find out which decks you make/cards you choose are good and which aren't. It's also a great place to find stock Tier 1 decks that are heavily tested and win a lot.

I disagree with you on the point of not beating Tier 1 decks, and with the definition of "competitive".

I know modern metagame pretty well and often play against them. (but I more often refers to www.mtgtop8.com) During events at my local game store and side events of GPs or alike in my country, I often came up to first place with this deck, beating decks like Affinity, UR Storm,Boggles, Living end, Patriot control, Infection, Grixis control, Zoo, burn and elses like Eldrazi, mono-green, valakut-scapeshift, UR delver, collected podless, and many others. Even if some games are hard (moreover against control decks), I never felt like I didn't stand a chance.

I don't think a deck has to be part of the meta-game to be competitive (especially when it is a home-made deck). It just needs the capacity to win games and incerts itself into the metagame. With this definition, even if there's still room for improvments, I consider this deck as competitive, thus I understand your point of vue and you may have reason.
