Whoopsie, meant to say Diabolic Tutor, not Mystical Tutor. Haha!

I was gonna say, "How could I have missed Mystical Tutor??"
I've considered Diabolic Tutor. I'll add it to the MaybeBoard for now. What would you suggest I replace for it?

Hi there! Since you have so many instant and sorceries, why don't you try Augur of Bolas? It's a decent blocker and can help you dig through three cards. Similarly, Wall of Omens is good to keep you alive and make you draw.

Fantastic. I love things with card advantage and big butts. I forgot the Augur even existed. What would you suggest I trade them for? I'm thinking Anticipate.

I was thinking the same. Anticipate can give you more choice, but being a blocker can probably be better in the earl game than letting you pick another creature or Ob Nixilis.

Sorry for not getting back to you VampiricJace! I'm actually not sure about my diabolic tutor suggestion now that the deck has changed a bit!
Also, would you make an un-budgeted version of the deck in the future? I think it'd be interesting to see your thoughts on what a Approach of the Second Sun deck could look like.

I agree. But still going to leave it in the side board because a tutor is obviously perfect for this kind of deck.
And I've been slowly working on that! That's what the "Suggested Replacement" section is. Eventually it will just be another decklist.

... and apparently i can't refer to Terrowyn too. My bad.

I don't know what's going on with the comments, but I can't refer to people correctly. I think we get the picture of what the other is trying to say though haha

Still loving the deck after updates! Also, do you think Snapcaster Mage could find a place in the non budgetized version?

Yes, I believe it would. I've neglected looking at the unbudgeted version of this deck for a while, and I appreciate the feedback!

I saw the title, and that ALONE is enough for me to give it a +1!

Definitely play Wall of Omens, at least two of them. They help block and draw you cards. Think Twice is great as well. Standard staples like Settle the Wreckage and Cast Out will probably work here as well. Monastery Siege to draw another card every upkeep as well as Search for Azcanta Flip seem pretty good too. For lands, you should definitely have four Irrigated Farmland as they cycle.

Oh, I almost forgot. I run Jace, Architect of Thought in my version of this deck and it digs three cards deep towards the second sun once it's back in your library. Seems good. Jace Beleren is also decent as it draws you a card.

One last thing. I've noticed that Field of Ruin is a pain for this deck to deal with as it's not a may trigger and you have to reshuffle your deck and search for the basic land. You need your own Field of Ruin or Ghost Quarters to deal with theirs before you cast the second sun.

I lied. One final thing. I think the deck needs either Opt or Serum Visions as well for even more card draw and scrying.

Yes yes yes! This is like... my dream deck! A super fun looking control deck! Though I'm a little suprised, no Mystical Tutor for fetching Approach of the Second Sun? I guess the deck is perfectly fine without it, but maybe something to consider? :)
