Alright, game plan.

Start with opening hand: 100% needs a land or Chancellor of the Tangle . If you have both, that's okay. Sometimes preferable, even, depending on what the rest of your hand looks like.

Next thing you need are things that look for more lands. You need to keep your deck thinning and on track. Mana dorks can count towards this if you can get a land out.

The last thing you have to check for is a threat or a way to get a threat. I don't count this as as important compared to having a hand that lets you "go off" with the highest amount of cards in hand as possible. There are enough threats and ways to get the threats (a la Delerium'd Traverse the Ulvenwald and Ancient Stirrings) for me to not worry about the opponent winning too quickly.

The general order of play is to get either tapping mana dork out onto the field ASAP because the sooner it can tap, the sooner you can win. Next, get them lands. If you can't get a large thing onto the field turn 3 or 4 the game will probably go poorly for you.

Basically, solitaire until you can take the game back.

Something this deck will do is punish you if you get greedy. If you Ancient Stirrings into a land and a Wurmcoil Engine, you probably want to take the land unless you can already cast Wurmcoil Engine. Board wipes and opponents tapping your Birds or Elves will make you have a bad day. Also, don't wait to play your threats. If you're scared of an opponent destroying or countering your Engine, Belcher, or Batterskull, remember: they'll do it anyway. Just get it over with and win/lose. Don't get greedy.
