I kind of want to add Spellskite , any ideas what to take out?

you're right, it's very similar to the Milly I've came up! Though, to be fair, it's quite a standard for Standard Mill deck to include all the nice cards we have now ;)

If you still want to add Spellskite I'd take out Undead Alchemist as the way I see it you're going for Control and Spellskite is a very nice control creature.

+1 since I loved the idea of the deck :D

I can't take out the Undead Alchemist s, they work wonders! In fact I would put them back into your deck. A lot of people think you need tons of zombies for the alchemist to be any good, however I disagree with that since the alchemist is good just because it spawns blockers and you don't need to have other zombies since the zombies the alchemist spawns are good enough.

Just out of curiosity, why didn't you include Invisible Stalker?

I didn't include Invisible StalkerMTG Card: Invisible Stalker because he doesn't contribute to milling my opponent

+1 love the deck but, i don't know if you can get the out the maximum out of Jace's ErasureMTG Card: Jace's Erasure with no Mind UnboundMTG Card: Mind Unbound, and PonderMTG Card: Ponder is a good card but not that great, maybe if you take out ponder in exchange for mind unbound you would have a really nice milling combo, love to see you added 2 Jace, Memory AdeptMTG Card: Jace, Memory Adept, shame they are kinda of expensive, if not it will totally be on my deck.

PS: i just noticed PonderMTG Card: Ponder lets you shuffle your deck, that makes it a really good card.

Thanks for the +1, I actually used to have two Mind UnboundMTG Card: Mind Unbound for this deck, but I had a problem getting six mana, and I usually died soon after playing it, so I decided to stick with lower cost draw cards: PonderMTG Card: Ponder, Thought ScourMTG Card: Thought Scour, and Visions of BeyondMTG Card: Visions of Beyond. However, Mind UnboundMTG Card: Mind Unbound works really good with your deck's Psychosis CrawlerMTG Card: Psychosis Crawler

yup, once you played your first mind unbound and psychosis crawler, is a high way direct to inevitable lose for my oponent, but a deck like allies or slicer probably will give a hard time.

Raven Guild Master is very, very underrated.

parasitian says... #11

Raven Guild Master is quite an interesting card, but I don't like to have to attack for milling for the most part. For example Hedron Crab just sits there waiting to block while my opponent mills more and more. Also Undead Alchemist can sit there while I cast other mill cards to produce zombies in swarms that can do better in combat. Raven Guild Master might see a spot in the sideboard however.

OK I realized the deck does better in Modern so I can't add Raven Guild Master . Next I made a few more changes. Any suggestions?

Haven't commented in a while, but I would like to ask you supportive people whether I should use Dimir Charm or Agony Warp ? I love the versatility of Dimir Charm , but I also like the way Agony Warp can kill a creature and weaken another to keep me alive for the most time possible. What do you people think?

I think it might be a metagame choice depending on the decks you're likely to play against, personally I'd go for Dimir Charm as it remains useful against decks that also don't want to kill you with creatures. Agony Warp strikes me as a good card to board in against aggressive creature based decks, possibly taking a couple of copies of Spell Pierce out of the SB?

Love some modern mill! +1 from me!

parasitian says... #16

Thanks for the input Zekurion, its still a consideration for me because aggro is my worst match-up for this deck and Agony Warp is extremely beneficial against aggro. This deck fares well against control most of the time. I might sideboard Dimir Charm actually and taking out Spell Pierce seems good because Spell Pierce is typically a SB card for control anyway. Also have you seen the new split card from Dragon's Maze called Far//Away? Do you think that card might be good enough to see play in the mainboard or SB? I might be over-evaluating it, so I might playtest it some time to see.

DarthTrevyn, Thanks for the +1 it is always appreciated!

I love this one. If only I can buy the Damnations and Snapcaster Mages...

Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone!

cbrsdf1, Yeah the deck is a bit pricey. I still haven't gotten the Damnation s so I just use Black Sun's Zenith at the moment; once I get Damnation s the black suns go to the sideboard. If you do get the cards for the deck I assure you it is very fun to play and it is fairly competitive against most decks besides Tron. The legendary Eldrazi make me so mad, but at least I got the Leyline of the Void s in the side.

Hello Parasitian

I've made a new build based in the cards I own. Can you review my deck please? Is Best Control Mill. I feel is very competitive, but a little inconsistent

Have you considered Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver or Thoughtseize now that they are standard?

March 19, 2014 11:19 a.m.

parasitian says... #21

Sorry I didn't notice this comment until now haha. Most decks would run Thoughtseize instead of Inquisition of Kozilek but the problem is that the life loss is actually very detrimental to my deck, aggro can race me pretty hard and losing 2 life might be the difference between winning and losing. I am still considering adding it though so thanks for the suggestion.

As for Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver , I tried testing him/her out but she just proved to be too slow, I like that she can create potential blockers against aggressive decks and mill a lot over time but other than that I'd rather play removal or just mill spells that mill a lot at a time.
