This is my modified modern eggs build. For a good example of the normal version go here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/eggs-22/
My version has a lot of differences, and I am just quickly going to go over a few of the more interesting ones
Tomb of Urami
: when combined with Second Sunrise, this card will basically give you a 5/5 demon and untap all of your lands.
Mulldrifter
: evoke, draw 2, put in graveyard, second sunrise, draw another 2, aka this is a 3 mana draw 4 cards
Disciple of the Vault
: now instead of taking my entire deck to combo off to win, I only need a few passes after this guy comes out. Speeds up play considerably, puts my opponent out of their misery, and just overall increases the decks consistency by making less second sunrise loops required to win.
sideboard:
Conjurer's Ban
: if I know a deck is playing Extirpate, then I know I need to cast this on my turn before starting my combo. This might delay my combo start a turn or two, but it allows me to completely eliminate a normally fatal Extirpate on Second Sunrise.
Ingot Chewer: This card is for
Chalice of the Void
. A
Chalice of the Void
for 1 can completely wreck this deck, but by having a 1 mana evoker that does not have a cmc of 1, we can get around this to destroy the
Chalice of the Void
.
Pact of Negation: overall just a good counter spell to counter the opponents disruption on the turn which you start to combo off.
Relic of Progenitus: Graveyard based decks are impossible to beat without grave hate, so I chose a 1 cmc artifact that will draw me a card, and second sunrise + noxious revival can clear all the important stuff out of graveyard if any even exists in it when I need to exile everything.
So, my sideboard is not built around interacting with other decks. The sideboard in most decks are completely built around interacting with other decks that the deck would have no way of interacting with. However, almost no decks have mainboard cards to interact with this deck, so my sideboard is based around getting rid of the few cards that could possibly interfere with my deck's combo.
