Okay, so unlike a lot of other fungus/saproling decks, I've decided to splash in blue, instead of black or white, and the main reason for that was Paradox Haze.
The point of this deck is to get as much saprolings as possible to overpower the opponent in late game. But to get saprolings, you need to get a lot of spore counters, and you'll get them faster through cards, such as: Paradox Haze, Doubling Seasons, Sporoloth Ancient and Sporesower Thallid. This deck is slow to start, but the longer it lasts, the better it gets.
Thallid, Thallid Shell-Dweller and Utopia Mycon
These are the cheap creatures of the deck and need to get in to play as fast as possible to start creating those spore counters. Though Thallid is nothing special, he's just cheap, Thallid Shell-Dweller is a good blocker and Utopia Mycon is great for mana fixing.
Mycoloth
Only 2 copies of him, because he has a high CMC, is the biggest creature of the deck, so I think he'll be getting a lot of removal his way. And isn't as good as Sporoloth Ancientand Sporesower Thallid for the deck, seeing as he doesn't give counters and at first needs to "eat" your creatures before making some of him, making you somewhat vulnerable.
Oran-Rief, the Vastwood, Eldrazi Monument and Garruk Wildspeaker
These cards are here to pump up the saproling so they can take victory! I like Garruk Wildspeaker especially in this deck; all of his abilities help this deck a lot.
Primal Surge
I side-decked this card, because even though I think it's absolutely amazing in this deck, I can see situations, where this card can be not amazing, e.g. mill decks or if I simply already used too many non-permanent spells. But the main reason for not including this in the main deck is: when will I be able to get to 10 mana? Sure there will be games when it'll happen, but I don't there'll be lots of them. Therefore only a sideboard card. But it looks perfect in this deck: the absolute finisher.
Awakening Zone
Yet another card that fits perfectly in this deck; not only do yet get a creature at the beginning of your up, you can also sacrifice it for to play more of the expensive cards! Not to mention that if you have Paradox Haze and Doubling Season in play, that's 4 0/1 blockers or 4 colorless mana each upkeep. Not too bad if you ask me.
The ULTIMATE, PERFECT board for this would, apart from being very difficult to create, be: Sporesower Thallid , Sporoloth Ancient , Doubling Season and Paradox Haze. If then 1 Thallid would be in play, the following turn it would go something like: Thallid eff +1c DS makes that 2c , Sporesower gives thallid +1c DS makes that 2. Total of 4. Sporoloth then also gets 4 counters. Sadly Sporesower only 2. Then Haze kicks in, essentialy doubling everything, thus Thallid 8c , Sporoloth 8c and Sporesower 4c. Through Sporoloth's effect you would then create: 4 + 4 + 2 = 10 saproling tokens. Now DS makes that 20 saprolings. 20 saprolings each turn! Next turn Mycoloth devours 20... As you see massive token generation going here (though you'll need to keep track of a lot of things).
So what do you guys think of the deck? And tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
P.S.: This is just a fun deck, for playing against friends. I don't expect anyone to win any serious big events, but I tried to get it as competitive as possible. I hope this deck inspires others to feel the possible hidden potential with the fungus cards, and that others make decks like these too!
