Here's a deck I thought of while reading the lore of Garruk and how he became cursed; this led me to look for Green/Black ideas, I always believed the Eidelon and Herald of the Pantheon never projected too much attention even though their abilities look great.
This deck utilizes the abilities of Black (Forcing the opponent to sacrifice creatures and discard) while also effectively using Green (There is much life gain and sustainability in the Pantheon) to pump up a Heroic creature while effectively gaining an advantage over the opponent.
The Avatar of Woe is not necessary in this deck but I have it simply because I like it. If I fix this deck up even more to a point where it can be incredibly competitive I will take it out. For now it is there for fun.
There is much searching in this deck with sorcery spells and the grisly salvage. If you do not draw these cards then you must not need them since you'll already have what you need in your hand (lol).
Abrupt Decay is in this deck to deal with pesky permanents. Bile blight may not feel necessary since Agent of the fates has deathtouch amd causes the opponent to sacrifice creatures when his ability activates. Abrupt decay can also help with that.
The land needs fixing. The shrine comes in handy late game with all the surprising devotion, but I feel 1 is enough. I am unsure of what needs to be changed.
The way I can about the cards in this deck is simply using the advanced search in the Wizards card database and looking through each card. I figured these would work best. As it turns out, this deck can also be budget if you take out some lands and abrupt decays (The Asceticism is still a maybe, Pantheons help bring it out)
Any help with this deck would be appreciated as this is the first draft! I am interested in playing magic online as the community in my area isn't so diverse in modern; this deck will be the first to be made when I start playing online.
Thanks!
