Not so hot 1-4 —July 31, 2015
I know its possible to beat each of these decks as the games were generally close and all my losses were a lose-win-lose...
round 1 loss goblins - out aggroed, I need to play more conservatively and try to be more defensive vs race them. Strangleroot Geist is mvp as he blocks Goblin Rabblemaster and Goblin Piledriver and comes back to tell the tale.
round 2 win jeskai gifts - Iona, Shield of Emeria is scary... my only response to that is a double Dismember... on the other side, Thrun, the Last Troll + Rancor + Vines of Vastwood beats Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite (hooray for him only have 1 life left to have to punch through!)
round 3 loss grixis twin - such close games... Vines of Vastwood is mvp just because I can prevent the combo from going off. unfortunately, when it gets Remanded I can only prevent the combo for 1 turn instead of until he gets another Splinter Twin
round 4 loss goblins - same deal as before
round 5 loss naya company - we were pretty much fighting for who has the bigger board state. Vexing Devil seems like a pretty good card to me.

What about swapping Pit Fight out for Ulvenwald Tracker?

The problem I see with Ulvenwald Tracker is the fact that it is a creature. In this case he must be on the board, and therefore prone to being hit by Lightning Bolt and the like. In addition to that, he must be untapped for me to be able to use him to fight, therefore bringing himself out of usable combat where it really matters, swinging face. Third, is you can't bluff with him unlike Pit Fight to sway your opponent into making less favorable decisions.
So while I see the value he tries to add with repeatable fight abilities, I believe he is too fragile to be worth switching over to.

Yeah, that's kinda my experience with him, too. He's also significantly slower, too, even though you get the repeatable hits (and the +1 devotion). I was just curious about how you saw it coming out in the balance.

@ evergreenboy8900
Wolfbitten Captive Flip seems underwhelming... His natural pumps cost more than I'd care to pay in comparison to my pump spells, me or my opponent are likely to cast enough spells to flip him into a human and lock him from going wolf mode, and I lose his devotion while he is flipped should I want to cast Aspect of Hydra
