I don't know, I see potential for it in a more control oriented deck (not this one in particular). It is either a one sided wrath, or they are skipping tons of draws, both effects are good for blue (instant speed too, which is a big difference). It was just more of a general question to CurdBrosBrewingCo for their thoughts on it.
I know it can pick off Blood Moon - float mana in response, cast after resolves. I was just surprised that was a concern for this particular deck.

What would you like me to test, and against what? I may make a few personal changes to the deck, maybe cut Chandra, Resto and Clique in favor of another Snapc and a Boros Charm.

LineDart- I would love to hear your testing results. I am really happy to have someone else to share thoughts with about the deck. I encourage you to make personal changes to whatever suits you. The malleability of the deck is one of the positive aspects of the deck. Please keep me posted on your results. Try testing against merfolk, Jund, and Boggles. Those are some of the tougher matchups in game one especially. If you can hit an Engineered Explosives they become much easier. After I read a comment on your Dega Delver deck I have also added a Spellskite mainboard. I had two in my Lightning Blitz deck and they were amazing so I figured they would probably work here as wel. It would be great to see your version and to hear how it has tested.
nbarry223- You are right again. Blood Moon
is not really a tough card for this deck to play around. Especially without Cryptic Command
. I was just saying the Celestial Purge
is a very versatile card and I had used it on a Blood Moon
in the past when I was stupid enough to not fetch any basics :).
As for AetherSpouts
I think it is currently being underrated. I have considered it in some of my decks and I am currently working on an Esper Control build in which it would be perfect. There are very few one sided wrath cards that are playable. I agree with you that this card will see modern play in any control oriented deck or in sideboards for aggro or creature heavy decks. It definitely occupies a slightly different place than Terminus
, but is very similar. It gives you the option to wait and play it and only hurt the opponent.
One card I am really excited about that no one seems to be talking about is Generator Servant . There is no other card in magic that offers a similar affect in Red. Simian Spirit Guide offers free mana, but Generator Servant jumps a turn or gives instant speed mana when you have all but tapped out. Generator Servant adds ramping in a color that otherwise does not have ramping. He also seems to work just as well in a creature oriented deck as a combo deck. I'm not really sure what exact build it works best in yet, but I think it will allow for some really cool interactions. We are currently working on some builds with it. Are there any other cards you are excited about?

I honestly thought the same thing about Generator Servant . I want to make a Mono-U Affinity build with Thoughtcast , Master of Etherium , and Chief Engineer , with a Blightsteel Colossus

The new M15 set is probably the best core set ever! Especially for brewers like ourselves :)

Keep in mind with generator that you can give two creatures haste. There's not too many ground breaking cards, but the core sets are usually less powerful than the expansions, so it will definitely be an interesting standard if that holds true.

Have you thought about cutting Resto? She's definitely underperformed for me, because the only thing I care about enough to blink is Delver, and it unflips him. I can see she would be good with Snapc but I'm rarely at the point where I'm in a position where I have enough mana, 5+, and where I didn't need all that mana for something else.
Still using TO Playtest against my friend though, and when I get back it's three days until I leave again and that'll be another two weeks, and I won't have my phone.

LineDart- You might be right. I guess I haven't drawn her enough to see if she has underperformed. The original inclusion was to bounce Geist of Saint Traft during combat to keep him alive after attack, to bounce Vendilion Clique to utilize her ability again, or to bounce Snapcaster Mage to utilize his flashback ability again for value. She also gave us another flash creature at the top end.
To be honest, now that you mention it, I haven't really used her all that much. I will make a note to see how often I actually get to do this rather than just flashing her in because I rarely have more than 5-6 mana. I will make sure to make an effort tonight during testing to see how she performs.
I keep thinking of adding another Chandra, Pyromaster . I'm not sure how she has gone for you, but every time I have had her on the board she has dominated the game. Maybe it's a function of already having the lead or something, but she has been great.
I also tested with two Boros Charm
for a little while and it didn't seem to go that well. I often had it in my hand for several turns and sided it out very often. I'm going to stick to one I think. Let me know what you think. I am very happy to have another player, especially a great player, helping with the deck construction.
My toughest matchups thus far are G/B Rock, Merfolk (pre-board), and Boggles (also pre board). nbarry223 has made me think of adding 3 Leyline of Sanctity back into the board to help with any matchup with hand destruction such as the black matchups. I need to test more agains Zoo and UR delver as I haven't test much against them.
Please keep me posted on how your testing goes and I will do the same. Thank you as always for the help!

I also haven't got to test against scapeshift much either. I assume any time we have a fast start we can handle scapeshift. Also adding the Leyline of Sanctity back into sideboard would help a ton. I will test against it tonight and see how it goes.

I test without Chandra. The deck I'm using is on my profile. I think I shared it with you.

I've tested a little bit with your deck and a little bit with mine. I think mine looks a little more like a Legacy deck, less than 15 creatures and more focused on flipping delver, and yours is more modern.

Also, today I tested a couple of matches against a couple of my friend's less Tier 1 decks using TO play testing. I beat Infect (non-budget), the Modern event deck and Mono Red Burn. Each match was an easy win, and I loved how the deck played out.
