Sideboard

The deck is a based around a casual combo that allows you to kill an opponent on turn 2. The combo peice of the deck comes from our friend nivmagus elemental. You play him on turn 1, then on turn two you drop every card in your hand and exile them all, except for the occasionally need slaughter pact or pact of negation, to pump him up to dealing a lethal amount of damage. There are a variety of ways to get the turn two kill and they will all depend on how much mana you draw or if you draw into a temur battle rage. If you draw 1 mana and a nivmagus elemental, chances are you also drew a hand of 0 drops and a ground rift, just simply keep it and drop your hand on turn 2 and use one or two of the copies of ground rift to secure that the magus can swing in. If you draw into two mana, you will want to check if you have a temur battle rage in hand, that Is the easiest and most effective way to make an opponent cry. Enough about how to play the deck, lets talk about our worst match up possible, Jund. Jund I our worst match up for the simple fact of control. Most control decks In the modern meta are simply that, control, but as we are all aware, jund has an extensive amount of things to do that will prevent us from winning late game. If you are ever in a match up against jund or any deck like jund, killing on turn two is your only option to winning, sadly. Overall, this Deck will kill almost everything in a meta, from eldrazi, and yes you heard me correctly, to soul sisters, to red deck wins, or practically everything in between. Not only do I run the traditional nivmagus for the deck, but I also added to the punch with a few creatures with a lot of synergy to the deck, monastery swiftspear and storm chaser mage. Now keeping a hand without a nivmagus I definetly looked down upon, keeping a hand with a swiftspear and a magus is a beautiful way to get an extra 6-8 damage to the face.
