Attempting to come up with a modern mill deck

While they usually ate jot very competitive, they can be very fun too, so I thought I would give it a try

The idea is to try to burn through the opponent's deck before loosing, while using a few well placed Surgical Extraction to attempt to mess with his deck and buy time. In some rare cases, this could even remove a key combo card as early as turn 1, which would be very nice. In case of the opponent countering the extraction, switch to Extirpate for split second.

Main fast mill sources would be Tome Scour, Glimpse the Unthinkable and Archive Trap.

This last one would be a little situational, if not for the fact that EVERY competitive deck uses fetch lands.

On a late game, Startled Awake   could be used recursively, and Haunting Echoes may end up crippling the deck severely when there are 20+ cards on the graveyard.

The target would be to end the game by turn 5, at least without interference.
