Holy Balls, the Sword of Combo Kills is back! —April 4, 2016

Sword of the Meek is unbanned. The combo is back online and at its full potential. The description and list will be updated ASAP

I use a Grand Architect for Infinite mana to spawn Infinite Thopters. You still need 2x Myr Retriever for the Infinite sac

Sweeeeet, I always love seeing the foundry getting used in modern. Card is very strong. And your combo is too funny, good work!

Thanks for the feedback :) I still need to know if the one person who offered to test the deck for me is still doing that, haha. But, anywho, I'm looking for ways to make this deck better at all costs.

I think I like Thirst for Knowledge better than Thoughtcast in this build because of the instant speed factor. If you can find room for a copy or two of Tezzeret the Seeker he'd be baller. I know those cards are in your sideboard, but I think they belong in the main.

Maybe Squadron Hawk to carry swords? Idk about that one though, might not fit for this deck.

Serra_Sentinel ~ of course I'm testing the deck. Said I would didn't I? Lol. In all seriousness though life of course happened and I've only played a handful of games online with this.

I will provide better feedback later on but I can tell you that midrange decks eat your face off. Especially Abzan strategies. Unless you get SoFaF this deck dies to them.

Control decks can't do jack against this deck since most of your spells are so cheap.

Burn decks are a tad rough but winnable. Match up improves greatly after sideboard

Combo decks like twin are probably your worst matchup because they don't give a crap what you are doing and just want to combo kill you.

Podless pod (if you haven't seen it I'll provide detail) is an odd one. You CAN get protection from most of their threats but if they land a melira, viscera seer and a redcap you just die. You have no way to stop it. Kind of like twin

Ignore my first comment. Sorry to DBL post but I'm on my phone and it went caddywhumpus and screwed up my edits.

Control decks can't do jack against this deck since most of your spells are so cheap. Gor all intents and purposes you're an aggro deck and they just can't keep up.

The reason those combo style decks give you such a hard time (I think) is because I was constantly having to path other stuff so when I needed an answer there were none to be had. I could have misplayed a lot of course but I also think there needs to be some minor tweaking to the board to help with the combo match.

Played it against my own Tron deck and it's about as even a match as you will probably get.

BTW. Have this deck built in real life now. VERY fun to run

Hmm, thanks for that though. I was considering removing the Anvil altogether and adding some extra counters, board wipes, and the new Thopter Spy Network. Thanks for testing it. I hope it serves you better in the future after some significant reworking with your advice.

Thopter Spy Network might warrant testing at the very least. It could be quite powerful but my only concern is speed.

If I add that, I have to make the deck more controlling. Also, where do you stand on the combo itself? Does it need to stay? Can I shave the copies of the Anvil down a few? Or can it go altogether and I just add in some artifacts that generate value when they enter or leave the battlefield?

i would cut the combo, and a full set of Myr Retriever. Also maybe a couple Darksteel Citadels for more sac options, also Cranial Plating since you are likely to have a few artifacts on the board.

Thanks :D I forgot that the Citadel was an artifact. Also, Plating seems like it'd be really worth it to play here. Thanks for the feedback.

Bellock86 I updated it a bit. Let me know if this works for you and if you have any more advice on the card choices. Cheers.

Using Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas' ultimate allows you to transfer the damage from Cranial Plating and a creature to lifegain direct damage.
