Hey! I just wanted to say, thank you for posting this. I've been trying to get into modern for a while, and the other day was sort of crushing when I realized my beloved RG wolf deck wouldn't survive the format... so this morning I decided to hunt for good decks in my color spectrum. I ended up finding your devotion primer, and was immediately intrigued. Spying the "SpeedWalker" variant, I did more research and found this.. once I learn the deck I will be building it. I already have the land base!

I did have a question, though... what did you think of the new walker Arlinn Kord for this deck? Do you think she can contribute anything efficient to the deck?

A little sad, actually. After numerous testing sith this build in real life, not once have I ever hit the infinite combo. Dunno if it's just my luck or what.

WildFang16...yeah; I'd say that's absolutely terrible luck :) like astronomically bad...I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

Sorry it's taken me a while to respond. We were not on TO for a little while (father's heatlth stuff...) The deck actually is a little different now (runs Waves main and Hydra's in the board, and a few cards are different but the core of the deck is the same...as are 90% of the cards).

I tried Arlinn for a second, but she seemed a little clunky to be honest. Just didn't really do what I wanted it to do when I wanted to do it. What were your feelings on it?

Ok, so you're back to maining wave! I played the version with wave before and I loved it. I do adore Arlinn, but I also noticed she was a tad clunky but genesis hydra into arlinn, into Arlinn's +1 to give it +2/+2, vigi, and haste, tacked onto a huge hydra, sounded fun to me. But I see your point.Just because I've had bad luck, doesn't mean I've given up! I still love devotion playstyle, and I want to make it my main modern deck. I like genesis hydra for a body and 2 devotion, but you can't deny the pure power of Genesis wave, especially with an eternal witness and cloudstone curio!I hope the best for you, and hope to hear back!
