Straight red aggro is kinda iffy to be honest. I'd suggest splashing some white unless you're willing to run some burn. But defiantly adding some rubblebelt maaka's would really help this deck.

Umm I don't play standard, if your new and your playing an established deck you can search for primers you can also check out this site to see what's hot right now http://www.mtgtop8.com/ also I know what's in standard and make sure you run a decent amount of removal like Lightning Strike Mizzium Mortars and other stoof . I would recommend playing modern or another eternal format because once you have your deck you have it forever . unless they ban a card in it

also run more lands if you mana curve is that high.

Thanks for the feedback, I am going to trim some fat in the creatures department so I can get a few more lands in and some removal spells.
