I agree with the Lavamancers. You don't really need 2 mana creatures apart from maybe Eidolon, and running 2-3 frees up a space for another burn spell.

I'd rather not add fetches, I don't have the money for that right now, and that takes the deck in a whole different direction. So far, the Hellspark Elemental s have proved themselves better than the Keldon Marauders , the unearth really helps.

I might add Torpor Orb , but I feel like Tormod's Crypt works as well as Relic of Progenitus .

Relic of Progenitus replaces itself as far as hand size goes, and can't be redirected.

you could try Keldon Megaliths or Ghitu Encampment, the utiliry is great, but it may slow you down slightly sometimes.

I'm pretty sure Guide is just better than Loyalist in almost every way imaginable.

I play standard primarily and giving your opponents card advantage and helping mana fix isn't necessarily the best scene sorry for the bum suggestion.

Searing Blaze is far superior to Searing Blood especially as two of or with fetches.

Eidolon hurts you! Why would you pay this?!

It feels like a side tech because control. Plus it doesn't do much to treasure cruise.

Eidolon doesn't do much to treasure cruise? It triggers on anything used to build up the grave that isn't a fetch land.

Eidolon is easily one of the best sources of repeatable damage that a red deck has access to.

Treasure cruise is also not a deck archetype, and if it is, the only way to get things into the graveyard is crack fetches, which loses you life, making it easier for me to kill you, or by playing lots of 0-1 drop spells, and guess what, you take damage for those. I think Eidolon is really a very good card, especially in some matchups. I've tried it and it works.

You know you don't have to cast spells right? Once it is out you can swing with it to victory or let them destroy themselves trying to stabilize. That is kind of the point of it. Anything you do cast safely ends the game at that point.

And even if they get removal, that's one less card to spend on things like Monastery Swiftspear or Goblin Guide. It usually kills my opponent faster than me, and I don't have to play it as soon as it ends up in my hand.

If you're concerned about your life total when piloting a Red deck, you're playing it wrong. I've won whole games personally right on the back of Eidolon. Fantastic creature and one of the best 2 drops red has gotten in a while. if you'd like ThisisBullshit, I have a similar Red Deck that I run in my folders as well as my main Modern deck, a Mardu Burn variant that you can check out for suggestions.

I would drop the hellsparks and ball lightnings. Add 4 Shard Volley. And with the remaining space, drop searing blood and add 4 Searing Blaze. Searing blood is fine sided.

Why is Shard Volley better than BL or Hellspark Elemental? I tried it and it didn't work well
