@Chubbub I think it's just for budget reasons. They're functionally the same in this deck.

Are they? I guess they are. Still, my OCD prevents me from benefitting from such expediency.

I think technically the best fetchland in Burn is Scalding Tarn so if your 1-drop burn spell is Bolt on their end step they might think you're Twin or Delver for a turn, but really it shouldn't matter.

Technically I don't think it matters because they all get my shocks, and Bloodstained Mire is one third as expensive as Arid Mesa sooo

I would say switch out 2 Searing Blazes for 2 Rift Bolts. With the blaze, you need 2 targets just in order to cast. If your opponent doesn't have any creatures, let's say if you're playing against 8-rack for example, they will not have creatures out. More than likely the card will be just a dead draw more than burn needs.

I didn't think burn's matchup against 8 rack was hard enough to justify it.
And Blaze is super good against everything else

I think Rift Bolt better then blaze due to the fact u need the land trigger to make it plus u suspend the Rift bolt turn 1 next turn u cast do 3 dam and possibly fire off 2 bolts for 9 dam turn 2 pretty solid I think. And with burn Ur not really focusing on there creatures as much as lobbing spells to their face

Fetches deltacobra, fetches. Searing Blaze is awesome because of them fetches. And yes, you do want to focus on their creatures on frequent occasion.
However I don't think you need 4 Skullcracks and 4 Searing Blazes. I would go 2 and 3 respectively, and then you can add in 3 of whatever else you want. It could very well be 3 Rift Bolts if you so choose.

Like Femme said, it becomes way better because of fetches. The thing about it is I'm not just paying attention to their creatures, I'm doming them too, so it's not like I'm just ignoring the player's life total.
This list has been working pretty well so far, but I'll try some other stuff and see what happens.

I personally second the idea of cutting 2 Skullcrack for 2 Grim Lavamancer. It locks down certain matchups and it can deal damage without attacking.

Cut 2 Skullcrack for 2 Grim Lavamancer as lavamancer let's you reuse all your burn spells. Also cut 1 land 2 Lightning Helix and 1 Searing Blaze for 4 Rift Bolt.

Rift bolt for 2 mana can suspend 2 of them for 6 dam to either creatures or players where blaze can just deal 3 and 3 for 2 mana at least with Rift bolt u not stuck having to target a creature if there none with bolt u have the choice.

I would sideboard Skullcrack since the main match up this would be useful is abzan and twin sisters but I don't know your local meta so that just a suggestion tho.
quesobueno123 says... #1
Command is completely insane. And you don't need four skullcrack main with 4 commands, there is only lifegain in abzan, and 6 cards to stop it is plenty. And lavamancer is awesome if you get forced into the late game, and to deal with affinity and other aggro.
