My take on the modern Temur Delver archetype.
This list contains more counters than the usual to help protect our few threats.
The idea is to attempt to get a t1 or t2 creature out, and protect it for the whole game. It's not unusual at all to get 12-20 damage from a single creature.
Playing this deck can be very challenging as there are often many lines of play (mainly involving which and how many threats to deploy). However, it is very rewarding, and I believe with enough practice, this deck can rise to the top of any meta (with appropriate modifications).
One important thing to keep in mind when playing the deck is which counters to use when. Usually you'll want to use taxing counters like spell pierce early, (although sometimes, you'll want to save a mana leak for an unknown threat). Dispel is usually your best counterspell, helping to dodge removal, or stop a cryptic command in the control matchup. Spell snare is usually pretty great as well, countering most removal besides path and dismember, and also countering many of the top creatures in the format.
The most important thing is to keep your threats alive, and you will almost always leave up mana to counter any removal your opponent plays.
I'm open to suggestions, and would love to hear about any play testing. Thanks!
