3-0 vs. Jund —June 3, 2016

Game 1: Inquisition of Kozilek and a Surgical Extraction in my opening hand i Exiled 2 Maelstrom Pulse. Thoughtseized a Terminate and it seemed to severally cripple his game play.A Geralf's Messenger and Mutavault kept me in the fight. He managed to drop Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet but I drew a Bloodghast and being down to 1 life and he down to 5 it was over. My Messenger, Vault, and Ghast sealed the victory.

Game 2: I sided in Hero's Downfall and -1 Molten-Tail Masticore and -1 Skirk Ridge Exhumer. Im Guessing he sided in Grafdigger's Cage because he dropped it 3rd turn. He played a turn 2 Tarmogoyf. I Dismembered the Goyf. By turn 5 i had milled his hand of creature removal and managed to keep one of two Phyrexian Obliterators alive. He pounded away at a Liliana of the Veil and a turn later it was over.

Game 3: This game was alot like game 2 with the exception of his Raging Revine. He played 2. I Dismembered 1 and the other started to pound away. I managed to Night's Whisper into Arena with an Obliterator on the table. It stoped him from turning him again. By this time i was down to 6 life and he had 10. Bloodghast and a single Relentless Dead fought hard for me. I lost the Ghast to Grim Lavamancer and then he dropped Scavenging Ooze. Before calling it game i decided to play out one more hand... I drew a Dismember!!! and killed the Ooze!!! He blocked my Dead with Grim. and lost ground by blocking my Obliterator with his Revine. Next turn he played Kolghan's Command hit me for 2 and brought the Ooze back to his hand. on my turn I Arena / Obliterator the Ooze and the game was mine.

Dismember was the star of these games. Jund is truly deadly.

Joker1430 says... #2

I play tested him Mtg_mill. I found that my permanents aren't on the table long enough to fully utilize his ability, Obliterator being the exception. Thanks, though, for the recommend.
