This deck is designed to destroy everything your opponent plays while not destroying your wallet. The deck is fairly pricey, but can win a lot of games. This deck is meant for post-khans and my 1st attempt at a mono-black deck. Many cards in this deck are rares that don't see enough play. Good Luck with it!
Complete Disregard: Deals with a lot of early game threats and can get rid of those pesky swiftspears, jaces, and zurgos
Dark Petition: This will 9/10 get spell mastery and allow you to search for any card in your deck i.e. languish for a board-wipe, erbos's titan for some good creatures, Ob Nixilis, or anything. You can even search for complete disregard then play it with spell mastery! The possibilities are endless!
Duress:This can be duress or despise depending on your meta, mine is aggro heavy, but I like to get out things like titan's strength and atarka's command. Even when I face a control matchup or jeskai black, it is nice to get rid of a dig through time or crackling doom.
Languish: This card is insane as it kills all aggro decks and is a very good black board-wipe. It is also good to play this turn 4 with an aggro deck then follow up with erebos's titan or Dark Petition turn 5.
Read the Bones: This card is self explanatory, card advantage, and can filter a good card on the top or be able to get rid of some lands if you are flooded. This is also a good late-game top-deck.
Retreat to Hagra: This card is great because you are running a lot of lands and it can drain quite effectively. For the khans/fate version replace 2 of these with palace siege. This card is a great turn 3 if you have nothing else and can do some big work after being played.
Transgress The Mind: The card is an amazing turn 2 play against control or a lot of abzan decks. This gets rid of siege rhino, ojutai, wingmate roc, dig through time and more. It also exiles which is very useful against control and abzan.
Ruinous Path: This gets rid of a lot cards like gideon, jace, and sorin which are big threats. It also gets rid of siege rhino's big eldrazi, and can be really good with awaken in the late game.
Ultimate Price:This card is a very good card for early and mid game as it gets rid of most atarka red creatures and also jace, SGM, and other cards like warden and even Wingmate Roc
Erebos's Titan: This card has seen little play due to the triple black, but in this deck is it perfect. A Languish before this card is a very good play. If you are stuck on 4 lands-this is probably the best play you can make. The indestructible is also great if you board-wipe with languish.
Nightmare: This card was seeing a bit of play in some mono-black devotion decks but has seen so little play because of the fact that the lands have to be swamps. Turn 6 this is a huge play because no matter what ,since you only run swamps, it will be a 6/6. After a control deck taps out for say, Ojutai, Following up with this is a huge play. It does die to a lot of removal but even if it attacks once it is essentially 6-7 damage.
Kothophed, Soul Hoarder: This card is absolutely amazing. Against sacrifice decks this card be bad, as you don't have the option to not draw, but turn 6 you won't die from sacrificing and you will get to draw a buttload of cards, potentially something to get rid of a husk. This card is also a 6/6 for 6 which isn't bad, but the drawing cards is awesome. He is also a great top-deck.
The sideboard is pretty easy to figure out as it has mainly removal for certain decks, infinite obliteration against Esper Control is huge as it gets rid of ojutai. Also 3 infinite oblits means if you play 1 then dark petition for another you can kill abzan by getting rid of rhino and anafenza.
