Mono Black Devotion..... Tier one deck that i made some changes to. Mostly to handle the mirror match. It is still a great deck against all deck ive play tested (Bant walkers, GR Monsters, Mono Black, and Esper Control). There are some other decks that I havent tested yet, and i dont think that this deck will disappoint.
MAIN BOARD
4x Pack Rat - Obvious for Mono Black, can really take control of a game if left unanswered.
4x Herald of Torment - Biggest change to the deck. I decided to run this in place of nightveil. for 2 main reasons. 1) can trade with nightveils in the mirror and mono blue. 2) i can bestow other creatures in the late game to get +3 and flying. This guy after play testing has been just awesome.
4x Desecration Demon - Another obvious for the Mono Black. Adds another free kill if the opponent is sacrificing.
4x Gray Merchant of Asphodel - Pretty much the win condition for the deck if you can build enough devotion up.
4x Thoughtseize - Greatest one drop ever.
3x Devour Flesh - Kill spell for 2.
1x Doom Blade- Kills everything except black...
2x Ultimate Price - Another good kill spell.
4x Hero's Downfall - Another great kill spell for planeswalkers too.
4x Underworld Connections - My favorite card in the deck. Cycle through my deck to get the good stuff out that i need.
1x Whip of Erebos - Lifelink and can bring back the guys they have managed to kill.
SIDEBOARD
3x Dark Betrayal - In against the mirror match.
4x Duress - In against control. With Thoughtseize in to give you 8 discarding cards.
3x Drown in Sorrow - In against aggro decks. Board wipes!!
3x Lifebane Zombie - In against anything green or white.
2x Erebos, God of the Dead - In against mirror match and revelation..
