I have always been a huge fan of mono black; Bloodghast and Phyrexian Obliterator, making this my favorite tabletop deck.

Basically, you play Buried Alive and search for 3 Bloodghast or 3 Gravecrawler, which you can do on turn 1 with Dark Ritual. You can also play Phyrexian Obliterator on turn 2 with dark ritual.

With Blood Artist and Grave Pact things only get better. With Skullclamp, you equip it to a ghast or a crawler and draw 2 cards for free.

Additionally, Liliana of the Dark Realms lets me get a land in my hand each and every turn to return Bloodghast.
