That's still pretty cool. You technically draw four cards in the form of the Eternal Scourges.

Hey guys, I made a new eldrazi type standard deck that might be even better than this one and I'm wondering what everyone thinks. Thanks!

I will be using this deck at Fnm on the 21st for standard, and then again for gameday likely the next day. Hopefully it goes well. Let me know what other changes you are thinking of making to the deck.

I still need to get the second Noxious Gearhulk and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. It would be nice to win store credit at one of these events so I can buy the Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet.

Thinking of making any changes to the deck based on the pro tour?

I think Lost Legacy should have a place in your sideboard probably for sure.

Not really. I'm mostly trying to work on my new standard deck. The people at my shop are pretty used to playing against it now, so the match-ups are a bit more difficult. Also this deck sucks against the R/ W aggro.

Can you at least deck cycle it still? It doesnt show up on lists any more and that makes me sad.

jamesfiek says... #9

Yeah I will cycle it every once in a while.

Got fourth at standard, which was decent. I only list my second game.

2-0 against this mono white human deck. It was a very casual deck and wasn't a hard set of games.

0-2 against a Sultai delirium deck. This deck game 1 pretty much killed me with 1 Gnarlwood Dryad leaving me at I think it was 10-11 health while I sat around with a Bearer of Silence and couldn't do anything as he got delirium with the help of a Noose Constrictor which could block my Bearer of Silence. He then got out 4x Prized Amalgam's with the help of a few cards and killed me shortly after, as I couldn't block all of them with my 1 Oblivion Sower that I got out. Game 2 I did a mulligan and made the bad and risky choice of staying with a hand of 1 land but it had some good things, although this was a mistake as I sat around and did NOTHING the entire match until he eventually killed me.

2-1 against Grixis control, he's one of the best players at my LGS. Thd first match was tough but I won with a Reality Smasher and Matter Reshaper. Ceremonious Rejection was used on 2 Reality Smasher's in those games and it was annoying. Game 2 I lost as he took out nearly everything I would try to play with Galvanic Bombardment, Ceremonious Rejection, Summary Dismissal, Radiant Flames and so Game 3 I kept getting through with some damage before he could draw removal and eventually won by whittling down his health exiling his Wandering Fumarole with Titan's Presence as it became a creature and going for the kill with a Reality Smasher. I was at a loss of what to sideboard during these games, as all he had for creatures were Torrential Gearhulks and Wandering Fumaroles. I just took out some of the creatures like Bearer of Silence for more Matter Reshapers in which I actually have 2 in my sideboard.

2-1 against R/W vehicles, now this wasn't an ideal version of the deck and was a budget version as it didn't have all the lands, and lacked some of the more expensive things in your typical list. He used a few of the gearhulks such as combustible Gearhulk and the other white Gearhulk (whatever it's name is). Once I side boarded in some cards I won round 2 and 3 despite losing round 1 due to my creatures getting exiled by Declaration in Stone.

I got store credit which I'm saving towards acquiring a Liliana, the Last Hope next. Which I can potentially use in 2-3 different decks. Game day is tomorrow now too.

I have been actually considering running another color, maybe blue or white. This would be possible with Aether Hub and Corrupted Crossroads.

White gives Fumigate, Authority of the Consulate, Sorin, Grim Nemesis, Declaration in Stone, and Eldrazi Displacer.

While blue allows for counterspells among other useful sideboard options.

Just came to give my GameDay Results

2-2 placed sixth.

First match vs GR energy 1-2Totally owned him on first game, exiled all his game and creatures, coudlnt do anything. Second game he comboed 4th turn, didn't have anything to exile. Third game i made a bad choice on what to exile feom its hand and leave me in 1 life in one hit.

Second match vs UR Dynavolt damage

This one was very hard, since i never draw any of my control cards, and since no creatures in deck but thing in the ice and the blue hulk. First game he killed me between chandra and the dynavolt tower. Second game i almost won since i played 2 oblivion and exiling almost all his winnings conditions, but then again he could kill me with dynavolt damage.

Third martch vs RB Vampires 2-1

Easy match. Only lost one game where he draw 2Harsh Scrutiny and dropped one oblivion and one seer and went manaflued

4th match vs UB Zombies 2-1

Again, only lost a match where i shoudl have mulligan since i drew only colorless mana only a full black spells.

Have you think about the Panharmonicon in the deck? For the the triggered abilities on creatures.

Here were my game day results:

1-0 against U/B control. We only finished one match because it took me ages to get enough damage through. He had 4x Spontaneous Mutation, which he kept putting on my creatures. As well as Take Inventory, Thing in the Ice  Flip, Dead Weights and Jace, Unraveler of Secrets I somehow won with 1 health.

2-1 against Grixis control. The first match I win with 2 Reality Smashers, one I got from a Mirrorpool. Round 2 Torrential Gearhulk and some other cards like Ceremonious Rejection beat me. Round 3 was awesome! I played a turn 7 Void Winnower because of my Shrine of the Forsaken Gods when he had 6 untapped mana and he couldn't do anything to counter it so he literally conceded that turn as I already exiled 2 of his Torrential Gearhulks earlier.

2-0 against R/W vehicles. Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet was very useful in these matches along with Thought-Knot Seer and Bearer of Silence.

2-1 against R/W vehicles these matches were a lot closer and yet I won similarly to before.

Top 4 I lost my first match, 0-2 to the same R/W player I just beat 2-1. I kept a really risky hand after a mulligan and I quickly lost both due to issues with having little to no lands. First place went to the Grixis control player I beat 2-1 earlier. I really wanted that gameday champion playmat but I suppose I can try again with Aether Revolt.

My second gameday later today I did much worse, even though it was mostly the same players. Got 6th place.

0-2 against R/W vehicles, I struggled with lands again these games. This was the same player I mentioned I lost to earlier in the top 4...

2-0 against G/W humans. These matches were realitively easy although I almost died to a Sigarda though one match that hit me for 11 damage because of Hope Against Hope.

0-2 against Grixis control. This was another player, with a very similar Grixis decklist as the earlier one except with the addition of Dynavolt Tower which was such an annoyance! If he was countering my Reality Smashers with Ceremonious Rejection, he was instead killing them with Dynavolt Tower and the amount of energy he was generating. My Thought-Knot Seers exiled a few Torrential Gearhulks but always died soon after to Galvanic Bombardment, and Dynavolt Tower. I was at a loss as to what to sideboard against this deck.

2-0 against Grixis Emerge. Complete Disregard dealt with a lot of Scrapheap Scroungers, Smuggler's Copters, and Prized Amalgams. Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet was very useful.

I dispise R/W vehicles and Ceremonious Rejection now against this deck.

The thing about Ceremonious Rejection is that it shuts down Vehicles in Vehicle decks too. So the way Vehicle decks push through that card is more colored dudes like that guy that R/W guy that filters their hand. This deck needs more colored threats in the sideboard that dont stray too far from the theme of the deck. Thoughts?

Gonti, Lord of Luxury and sideboard 2 Conduit of Ruin and an Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger because they can't counter the cast triggers. The things to trim mainboard are Wasteland Strangler and Complete Disregard because WS is an enter ability, and nothing else taps the exiled cards so we can trim this particular removal since we have sideboard replacements.

They can counters cast effects with Summary Dismissal

October 24, 2016 10:18 a.m.

Jimbotten says... #21

That's one card though. Nobody sideboards 4 of them. Maybe 4 Ceremonious Rejections - which cast triggers are immune to.

Most decks that run blue will run 1-3 Summary Dismissals

I played one deck with 4 in mainboard yesterday. btw here are the Results for the Gameday,

There were 3 rounds:

0-2 UR Dynavolt Again, another dynavolt deck, that killed everything i played from the Smasher to 1 Void winnower... Annoying little thing.

2-1 URW Control It was the White-ish version of Yasoota's deck, but the player was very bad, make a lot of misjudges, the only game i lost was the first one since i didn't have anything to take away Jace.

1-2 Temur Aetherworks I controlled all games, but one misplay made me lose in 2 games.

poshakitoo, I made a similar mistake as the one you mentioned above. I kept a hand that only had 1 swamp since I had 2 Grasp of Darkness's but then I never drew a land and died to this annoying R/W vehicle deck. I even beat the player I was facing the match before, but then I lost because I kept dumb hands. I just had to win that match between my opponent with the R/W vehicle deck and then one other Grixis control deck that I beat earlier 2-1, who would have been my last opponent and I would have been first place. I wanted that gameday playmat badly and I just threw it away in my 5th game by keeping dumb hands, I was doing well up until that point by going 2-0, 2-0, 2-1, 2-1.

Hey guys I'm thinkin of trying out 4 Reshapers and 3 Mindbenders, swapping out 1 strangler, 1 bearer, and 1 disregard. Also gonna toss in 2 Filigrees in place of 1 disregard, and 1 smasher, Adding an Abundant Maw in the sideboard in place of winnower and 1 mainboard in place of Winnower. I'm trying this because these cards add speed, life, and card draw to the deck. These 3 things are reasons I've lost with this deck.
