I saw the combo of Master of the Feast and Fate Unraveler, and I knew I needed to make a standard deck with this. Lots of flying and/or deathtouch for swinging and/or blocking. Also, Abhorrent Overlord and Dictate of Erebos is hilarious!

This is my first standard deck I built completely by myself, so comments and suggestions are much appreciated. And +1's too!

CREATURES:

Abhorrent Overlord: This is a late game bomb that will use all the devotion you'll have to spawn harpies. If you have a Whip of Erebos, you can bring it from the graveyard for more harpies.

Deathgaze Cockatrice : Mostly in here for the 2 black devotion, but flying and deathtouch are pretty nice.

Fate Unraveler: Combos nicely with Master of the Feast . One of the only two nonland permanents without 2 black devotion.

Gray Merchant of Asphodel: One of the best commons in the Theros block, in my opinion. 2 black devotion and an enter the battlefield effect with Whip of Erebos.

Herald of Torment : 3/3 and flying for 3 and 2 black devotion? Yes, please! Bestowing late game on a Liliana's Reaver or another creature isn't bad at all either.

Liliana's Reaver : Deathtouch, 2 black devotion, and getting chunk blockers fits quite nicely here.

Master of the Feast : 5/5 and flying for 3 and 2 black devotion. Go ahead and take a Fate Unraveler damage with that card you drew.

Pharika's Chosen : 1/1 and deathtouch for 1. This is basically your only defense until turn 3, but it works well enough to get you there, and you can drop them late game with spare mana for an extra devotion before playing Abhorrent Overlord or Gray Merchant of Asphodel.

INSTANTS:

Doom Blade: Playing black. Yes, Doom Blade.

Hero's Downfall: More removal! This one works against black creatures and planeswalkers too. Solid card.

Bile Blight: Deal with those obnoxious 3 or less toughness creatures and all his same name buddies without having to waste a kill spell.

ENCHANTMENTS:

Dictate of Erebos: 2 black devotion, and it'll make your opponents think twice before killing your creatures. Also, while you're sacking harpies with Abhorrent Overlord, your opponent will have to sack too!

Whip of Erebos: 2 black devotion and the ability to bring an Abhorrent Overlord, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or Master of the Feast , back for a devotion bomb or 5 extra flying damage is a game changer.

LANDS:

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx: Devotion deck needs devotion land, right?

SIDEBOARD:

Dark Betrayal: Swap out some other kill spells if playing against black.

Duress: My only real defense against counter decks.

Feast of Dreams : Swap in if playing against heavy enchantment creature or heroic deck.

Pithing Needle: For use against planeswalkers and if AEtherling is still a thing.

Ratchet Bomb: For weenie decks or if non creature or land removal is needed.

Playtesting, I almost always get a turn 6 win. Right now this deck's fastest win that I can see is by turn 5.

Turn 1: Swamp

Turn 2: Swamp

Turn 3: Land, Master of the Feast ,

Turn 4: Land, Master of the Feast , Swing for 5

Turn 5: Land, Gray Merchant of Asphodel for 6, Swing for 10, Win

You don't need the 2nd Master of the Feast if you can get a Pharika's Chosen out early. Then, most of the other 3+ cost creatures work instead.

Suggestions

Updates Add

Matchup 1: Esper Control 0-2

Both games his removal was just too much. He had 3 [Detention Sphere]s on the board both games. I was unable to get devotion up for my merchants.

I should have sideboarded in Ratchet Bomb for his detention sphere's for the second game but didn't think of it at the time. He also pulled out an AEtherling I couldn't really deal with.

Matchup 2: Orzhov lifegain/aggro 2-0

Game 1: My deck worked exactly as it was supposed to. Turn 3 Master of the Feast. Turn 4 Fate Unraveler. He pulled out a Desecration Demon, but I had a Hero's Downfall. He scooped by turn 5 or 6.

Game 2: Was a bit tougher. I got an early swing off with Master of the Feast but he Hero's Downfall'd it. He brought out an Obzedat, Ghost Council that delayed the game. I had two Gray Merchant of Asphodels out and then i top decked a 3rd for the win.

Matchup 3: Rakdos 2-1

Game 1: Completely mana screwed. Easy win for him.

Game 2: Much better. Deck worked how it was supposed to. Won with Master of the Feast and Gray Merchant of Asphodel.

Game 3: By far the most fun and close match of the night. I had a Whip of Erebos out so I was way ahead in life as I got him down to 4, but he then swung me with an unblockable Master of Cruelties. And then brought out a Desecration Demon. I brought out an Abhorrent Overlord with 7 devotion with a Dictate of Erebos. Got back up to 4 and him to 1 swinging with a Pharika's Chosen and a Deathgaze Cockatrice both with lifelink. On his next turn I sacked a harpy to tap down his Desecration Demon and with Dictate of Erebos he had to sack his Master of Cruelties. He swung for 3 with a Rakdos Keyrune, and ended the turn. I won next turn by sacking a harpy and his Desecration Demon with it, and swinging for game. PHEW!

Matchup 4: Everything but Blue Aggro 2-0

He whipped out plenty of aggro creatures. Rakdos Cackler, Burning-Tree Emmisary, Viashino Firstblade, Tajic, Blade of the Legion, and more. Both games he got me down quite low. Luckily, I had lifegain from Whip of Erebos and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, which saved me. The late game for his deck wasn't too great. I just had to survive his hasty battalions until then.
