This deck's game plan is to put your opponent's back to the wall with an extremely hard to stop aggro, while also running a lot of creature removal to neutralize any of his plans.
I have 14 creatures with Deathtouch which can equip a Viridian Longbow to ping everything to death and 10 creatures with evasion who can carry a Lashwrithe or Bonesplitter. Please note that deathtouch also kind of counts as evasion, seeing as most of the time your opponent won't really want to block.
Gifted Aetherborn,
Thrill-Kill Assassin
and Vampire Nighthawk all have 3 toughness, so they trade really well while deathtouching. They survive most combat with low-mana enemies. Stack this with the toughness from Lashwrithe and you have a seriously tough creature.
(Gifted Aetherborn or Vampire Nighthawk) + (Lashwrithe or Bonesplitter) = Potent Lifegain.
Lashwrithe is a hugely powerful card.
1x
Fetid Imp
and 1x
Malakir Familiar
provide a necessary service. Deathtouch (to block and kill, both flying and normal threats, and carry Viridian Longbow) and Evasion (to carry Bonesplitter and Lashwrithe), all nicely on the mana-curve.
Profane Command does a lot. The removal/return creature from graveyard is probably the most important functionality, but all the options are just awesome.
Temporal Extortion
gives you extra damage, extra lifelink, an extra card draw, extra mana.
This deck is tied together by Sign in Blood, Mishra's Bauble, Barren Moor and
Temporal Extortion
. They provide access to the best cards just a bit faster, without having to include dead weight in the deck. It may not look like much in way of a card draw engine, but a little extra card draw really brings it all together.
Edit: -1 Sign in Blood, +1 Mishra's Bauble
Edit 2: -1 Bonesplitter, +1 Sign in Blood
