I have seen some mono black decks out there recently, but I haven't noticed them doing that well. So I decided to take on that challenge to make mono black scary to see in standard. I built this around dealing tons of beats on turn 4 and finishing them on turn 5 or 6. I play a few one drops early on, I follow up with Master of the Feast or Herald of Torment to start doing some serious beats, and end it all with a Gray Merchant of Asphodel.I don't have it built yet so I can't test it, but I imagine my toughest matchups would be with aggro decks, if they can hit me fast enough then I cannot really do much. Which is why I mainboard Bile Blight and side board drown in sorrow.Otherwise some cards in here for some control are. Despise to get rid of those pesky creatures that will get in my way.I have Read the Bones for some really nice card advantage. I also have Boon of Erebos to try and protect some creatures from dying too soon.
