This is my best standard format deck. Even though it can be a bit slow to reach victory (so sideboarding helps vs. control), it's a powerful, consistent deck. I have an excellent Rakdos aggro deck, and this mono-black deck beats it 2/3 of the time.

Mutilate is a powerful option with 23 swamps and 26 lands. The undying creatures can survive the Mutilate: Butcher Ghoul Demonlord of Ashmouth Evernight Shade Geralf's Messenger .

I need lands to hit all of those 4-drops, so 26 lands. This hasn't been a problem. All of those lands come in handy in different ways. It's not too hard to get up to 7 lands to flashback 3x Sever the Bloodline and 4x Moan of the Unhallowed. And the Evernight Shade love the swamps.

There's a decent amount of life gain with 4 Vampire Nighthawk, 2 Essence Harvest , and 2 Tribute to Hunger .

Fort the vampire nighthawks, there is 1 Exalted card in the deck and 2 Runechanter's Pike. The Pike is also great with Essence Harvest .

Yep, 61 cards. I'm weird like that.

I'm open to your feedback. Any ideas for the mainboard or sideboard? Any matchup problems you foresee?
