A mono black Vampire build that I have been running for awhile. I recently took it to its first FNM and it turned out fairly well. The build went 4-1 on the night with wins against a budget burn, infect, soul sister, and elves. The loss came from a top-end burn deck (it wasn't even close).

I'm looking for ways to improve the deck. I like to have a solid control foundation to keep my opponent from building up too much while I get the time to build up my resources.

Example game:

Turn 1: Guul Draz Vampire / Vampire Lacerator

Turn 2: Hold for an instant during opponents turn for protection or drop another creature.

Turn 3: Gatekeeper of Malakir (kicked) or Vampire Nighthawk

Turn 4: Bloodline Keeper   or Vampire Nocturnus

Turn 5: Vampire Nocturnus or Bloodline Keeper   (Transform Bloodline Keeper   into Lord of Lineage   ) and swing for game in the air.

Attacking in the earlier depends a lot on what kind of deck my opponent is running and what the state of the game is.
