Why Galerider Sliver ? You could very well just use Judge's Familiar and have a 1/1 flying with an ability.

I have him because of the Mutavault . By itself it isn't that great compared to Judge's Familiar but swinging in with a few 3/3 flying Mutavault tipped some games in my favor against ground based aggro decks.

True, I hadn't considered Mutavault . Why not run both the familiar and the galerider?

I could possibly run Judge's Familiar as a 2 of because in later rounds his ability becomes less powerful as the rounds progress. It is a dead draw later in the game when they would have enough mana to just pay the 1 and it would not affect the outcome while I lose a creature in the process. With that thinking I would just rather not use him. Galerider Sliver has a much more useful ability later in the game.

Very true, he does peter out later game. Still, a 1/1 flying with a Stymied Hopes attached to it is pretty good.

He is nice, but I feel he isn't that great in this deck.

Going to change the deck some to make it better.

Deck should be much better now. I didn't want to let go of too many spells in favor of more creatures. I feel the spells I have are a good line up to deal with some of the decks I normally face. Sideboard still needs work though.

I think their is going to be a lot of brewing around Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx I always knew this card was underrated I think the pro tour will open peoples eyes so they can see how good the card is for generating large amounts of manna. Like the deck a lot I like the way you have great plays every turn and lots of answers as well.

Just before pro tour you could get the shrine for under $5, now you are lucky to find it for $15.

Wow! You managed to copy the PT-winning deck and claimed a FNM-win. That's... oh my god... I'm at loss of words... You Sir, are a true deck-building master! I tip my head to you!

I built this before the the Pro Tour... It was built back when they did the article on Daily MTG about devotion and spoiled Master of Waves . So no I did not copy any deck. Only recently I changed the deck to take out Galerider Sliver and put in Nightveil Specter Which I only had 2 of at the time.
