Yeah, the biggest downside to Aqueous Form is that if I give control of the enchantment itself to my opponent, then they get the scry whenever the creature attacks, and plus I like to option to have a reusable source of card draw.

i currently have a great mono-blue thats similar to this, i just chose not to run the ensoul artifact and all that goes with it for the Battlefield Thaumaturge and a lot of nasty card combos he enables. it was either commit to winning with ensoul artifact every time, or be more viable in more situations, and i chose the latter of the 2. both are great though. +1. didnt realize how good mono-blue was till i messed around with this stuff.
if you get a chance, my main deck needs a tad more tweaking. [R/G Gruul Monsters].
also, i'm sure you're aware of this trick, but trading a Master of Waves spawn for anything with Daring Thief nets you their creature and gives them "nothing" in return. i opted to go further with this strategy and run some bounce, once targets are declared with Daring Thief, you can bounce your own target, with my deck its either Hour of Need or Jalira, Master Polymorphist, and you still take their creature and they get nothing. its the core priniciple of my deck. i need to get my own deck updated on this site though, its pretty outdated compared to the physical on hand version i run.

Actually, you should check out the gatherer rulings for Daring Thief. If the complete trade can't be made when the ability resolves, it does nothing. The Master of Waves trick still works since the tokens don't die until someone gets priority.
But other than that, thanks for the reply. I looked into Battlefield Thaumaturge decks when I was making this, but they seem to go a completely different direction. I mean, how can you say no to the possibility of attacking with a turn two 5/5 flier/indestructible creature?
And as for your R/G monsters list, I'm not too familiar with playing with or against the archetype so my help would be marginal. However it does look like a solid build and I can't see anything I would change without playtesting.

I confirmed the whole daring thief thing with an official judge, unless they made a special ruling. He said "once targets are declared, the target on your side can be removed by various effects, then the effect resolves, and the creatures are supposed to trade players. The fact that your creature no longer exists on the field isn't a factor. However, remember they can do the same thing to you, they can remove their own target and take your creature."
He did mention that I could look more into it but there should be no reason it shouldn't work. Just an abuse of the games mechanics, similar to blocking with a mana dork, then tapping them for mana before damage.

Look at the fourth ruling, the judge was mistaken.

Love, Love, Love One note is that you may have some problems with early board presence. I know you are running the ornithopter but maybe you could also run a card like hypnotic siren, Not only is it a 1/1 flyer for 1 late game you can just take your opponents win condition. Hypnotic siren will also give you another devotion for master of waves which at the moment you are a little short on.

Another option to Fate Foretold could be Aqueous Form ,for unblockable/scry. Whichever works better for you.
