Mono-Blue Terror/Delver

Pauper Mono-Blue

Enchantment (3)

Sorcery (4)

Like most of my decks, this is one I've had for many years - long before Wizards officially announced Pauper as a paper format and consolidated a ban list between paper and Online - and I'm putting the list up because of my waxing nostalgic after pulling it out of storage.

A low-curve control deck that wants to run somewhat aggressively early on with Phantasmal Bear and Delver of Secrets  , but with enough gas added by Errant Ephemeron and Spire Golem to close out the long haul.

Possibly the biggest weak link in the deck is Force Spike as it often lacks the punch that I've needed it to have as a counter, but it was a hasty replacement for Daze, which the deck ran until the aforementioned "Pauper is officially a paper format now, too - here's a proper ban list" announcement so many years ago. I've just never gotten around to figuring out if there's a better option to take its place.

EDIT (11/7/2023): Having decided to take a peak at a few Pauper decks that have been popular, I saw that there were a variety of monoblue decks that were similar in theory to what mine does. But with a few extra heavy hitters to finish games off with. So I elected to change my deck to match those a bit. Gone are the 4 Phantasmal Bears, 4 Errant Ephemerons, and 3 Spire Golems. In their place go 3 Opts, 4 Cryptic Serpents, and 4 Tolarian Terrors.

EDIT (10/28/2024): Ordered some Lorien Revealed for the deck after it hit me that having deck thinning that also serves as an Sorcery for flipping Delver, or to make my big Serpents cheaper is painfully good and used in most lists like this for a reason.
