A test around with a Mono Blue brains in a jar deck, objective is to just tap down their creatures and/or send them back to their hands until you can get enough counters on a Brain in a Jar to cast both Part the Waterveil and Rise from the Tides in the same turn, alternatively you can stack storage counters on Mage-Ring Network till you can cast both in 1 turn too, this locks up the game very easily when you get 10-20 zombies.

With 35 spells, tons of drawing and discarding this deck turns on Rise from the Tides so quickly. If you can ramp up your Brain in a Jar or Mage-Ring Network early it's pretty much game over for the opponent. Super solid deck, even though it does not cost much - it is surprisingly versatile and strong. Our worst match-up probably is agro decks that can easily flood the board (typically mono white is the only humans that can be real troublesome). But after sideboard the match-up favors us with 2 more Send to Sleep and 2 Ojutai's Breath for good measure. The only other match-ups that can be difficult are ones with a lot of counter-magic. For these deck we have tons of sideboard counters that come in and just allow us to take it a bit slower and stop their antics with our own counters (Negate is just amazing against planeswalkers too).

Virulent Plague is also very annoying for us, so we have an extra 2 Disperse in our sideboard to make sure we can bounce it when they tap out in an end-step so we can freely do our combo without worrying about our creatures just dying to the -2-2.

I am currently experimenting with a B/U brains deck where I just add 7-8 black dual lands and Languish, will have to see if 12 islands in main is still enough to easily turn on our Engulf the Shore and the new lands do not hinder our turns by coming in tapped. A board-wipe would be awesome in this deck if it can support it effectively, alternatively Brain in the Jar can cast Languish at instant speed without even needing BB. Both instant speed board-kill and instant board-clear could be absolutely amazing together. Will feedback how the experimentation with the splash for black goes.
