Essentially this is just a budget Mono-Green standard infect deck. Do I expect it to be major tourny legal? No, I'm not delusional. However, I'm consider running it at my local FNM for the giggles, and I can pick up the missing pieces for about $5.
Essentially, best case scenario is a Glistener Elf, a couple forest, a Rancor and either Titanic growth or Mutagenic Growth in my opening hand. The rest would be nice to have, but not overly necessary. I'm considering upping the count of Blessings to 3 to increase the odds of drawing it, although through testing so far it's been able to "kill" on turn 2 in the best case scenario of perfection(Glistener Elf/Blessings miracled/Rancor/Double Mutagenic opening hand), and can average out at about turn 5-7 kills. Removal is the major problem, however if I can get a good 5 or so counters on them by turn 4 or so I can rush out Putrefax for the kill.
The sideboard is mostly self-explanatory, however I'm considering running a couple Tezz's Gambits maindeck (Haven't decided). It's sideboarded on the chance that I get slowed down heavily by something control, or to give that last push in case of major aggro. I'm up in the air on Wild Defiance, as it can be brutal with the pumps in tandem with them, though ties up a good chunk of mana in the mid-game. Prey Upon is for major headache removal, and Tangle Angler is to open the board up wide open on turn 5 for swing for the win.
The two I'm considering sideboarding in are Ranger's Guile and Noxious Revival to help deal with removal. I'm also considering maindecking Apostle's Blessing to keep my beaters from being blocked/saving them from removal.
Suggestions always appreciated.
