Am I missing how you play a creature then draw? Or did I miss something with Miracle cards? Thought they had to be played right away.

Deadly Recluse is much better. Thank you. Any other suggestions?

I was assuming that you drew the Blessings of Nature that turn. You can play a card for it's miracle cost anytime during a turn so long is it was the first card you drew that turn.

Does anyone think Bond Beetle or Elvish Visionary would work well in this deck?

Actually, you have to cast the miracle card the moment you draw it. I can't draw a terminus, then cast it for 1 at the end of my turn. Similarly, you have to cast blessings of nature during your draw step.

the listed combo doesnt actually work.

This does

T1 elf

T2 champion

T3 miracle blessings of nature onto chamion, rancor on champion, any dude to give +1/+1 to champion ( which is now a 8/6)

T4 miracle Revenge of the Hunted onto champion, then cast fungal sprouting, to get 14 saprolings, then swing for 24

Plus you need Rancor and Revenge of the Hunted .

Ok, Maybe I'm reading this incorrectly. Here is the official rule;

702.92. Miracle 702.92a Miracle is a static ability linked to a triggered ability (see rule 603.10). "Miracle [cost]" means "You may reveal this card from your hand as you draw it if it's the first card you've drawn this turn. When you reveal this card this way, you may cast it by paying [cost] rather than its mana cost." 702.92b If a player chooses to reveal a card using its miracle ability, he or she plays with that card revealed until that card leaves his or her hand, that ability resolves, or that ability otherwise leaves the stack.

To me, this means that if I draw Blessings of Nature then I may reveal it immediately if its the first card I draw this turn. That card stays revealed until I choose to cast it. I can cast it anytime during that turn so long as it stays revealed until I do so.

I love Rancor and Revenge of the Hunted but i can only have so many Miracle cards in my deck before I keep starting with them in my opening hand. What should I take out in favor of those cards?

I'm almost certain that you ave to cast it when you draw it, but ou should bring this to MTG Q+A if ur not sure. Epoch can clear these things up.

YOu should remove gatecreeper vine, as it is just a semi-weak defender, and it doesn;t ramp, just get a land to your hand. It also doesn;t help your strategy. A playset of rancor will be much better in this slot.

If you want to keep trakeers instincts and gatecreeper vine, you may wish to add some simic guildgate to get the flashback.

If you need a sideboard, you have to identify which decks are troubling for you. If RDW is hard, you can add some defensive cards. If flying is hard, Eaten by Spiders and Aerial Predation get rid of thundermaw hellkite and the like. YOu have to identify the problem decks and then get rid of them.

You draw a miracle card, reveal it, lay it down on the table until you pay to use it, you can pay and use it anytime during your turn only. hope that is cleared up now.

I found this online. Hope it clarifies what I am trying to say.The land also applies to everything else. Sure, you can cast an instant when you get priority after casting the miracle, but you can't play a land because the miracle is a trighgered ability which triggers during draw step.

Cool, that you for the advice and the explanations. I'm gonna take this deck to a local FNM and we will see how it goes.

I know I have 18 cards in my sideboard. Which of these should I keep and what cards am I missing?

I'd drop the Plummet 's, your deck should win fast enough that fliers shouldn't matter. Also i'd add 2 more Rancor 's because early game, the +2/+0 boost to Champion of Lambholt can help you get through early and for alot of damage.

Drop revive from the sideboard

Wandering Wolf can be played earlier and has a higher base power, so it might be something to consider. Not sure if you can win-combo on turn 4 with it though.
