1v1 EDH Volthrun with Land Destruction and Disruption

Build: Thrun, the Last Troll + steroids + mana dorks that can also carry swords. The goal of the deck is to kill with commander damage so every spell should work with Thrun.

Land destruction and disruption that fits the curve before Thrun hits the table:

--Phyrexian Revoker target dork or mana rock

--Ice Storm

--Thermokarst

--Winter's Grasp

--Fallow Earth (It is essentially... target player skips his next draw step and land play)

--Hall of Gemstone (Very strong against mulitcolor and control)

--Rishadan Port Delays opponent until Thrun arrives

Disruption spells after Thrun:

--Winter Orb

--Static Orb (Strong against aggro)

--Sphere of Resistance

--Stunted Growth

--Plow Under

--Primal Command (mini Fallow Earth + tutor for Pimeval Titan)

--Acidic Slime

--Expedition Map / Sylvan Scrying into Dust Bowl

Steroids

All equipments and auras for Thrun has to have 2 or more of the following:

  1. Pump

  2. Evasion (Trample, Flying, Unblockable)

  3. Additional Ability

  4. Protection

  5. Cheap Mana Cost

...otherwise, he will only be chump-blocked every turn. Imagine you only have one Thrun steroid in your hand, that single spell should at least be enough to get you to 21 commander damage.

--Phyrexian Revoker (Anti-Combo, Necrotic Ooze, Prosh, Food Chain, Marath, Grenzo, Azami, Ezuri, Planeswalkers, Equipments, etc. This is never a dead card. Then give him totem armor, or regeneration with Yavimaya Hollow)

--Scavenging Ooze (hoses reanimator, flashback, goyf, dredge)

--Eternal Witness (Get back whatever was destroyed)

--Yavimaya Hollow (protects utility creatures like Phyrexian Revoker, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, Ulvenwald Tracker, Ohran Viper, enables dorks as blockers for non-tramplers; regenerates Thrun while Linvala, Keeper of Silence is in play; protects Primeval Titan which is your 2nd win con)
