During playtests i have to muligan multiple times almost every game to get 2 forests. Might consider upping your land count. Sure you can produce lots of mana but getting bte t2 is essential and you cant bank on getting a mystic out t1 every time.

I hate this deck... I love it, but I hate playing it... I couldn't do anything against it with my Burn the Dead deck. Turn 8, this was the result. Despite what Felixlives says, you can do just fine with your land. I feel that it's perfect. I hope I don't play this deck at FNM anytime soon -.-

I have a similar deck that is less fast because im not running GR im doin GW but ive considered the Reverent Hunter let me know how he works for you im very on the fence. And check out my deck and see if you like it :)

Check out Get More Head. It is similar to your green deck.

I like it. I opted for the Giant Adephage over Worldspine Wurm .

Tried my version of this at the last FNM went 0-4. The problem is if someone can keep your devotion under control you have no way to cast anything threatening. And if you play aggro decks you need to use you mana dorks as blockers which also slows you down. Think I was unlucky tho with my draws and who I played against. I have seen this played and been in the top 3 at fnm before.

My only suggestion is add another bow and get rid of a forest. 21 land is awkward and you have a lot of mana dorks plus, you want deathtouch when youre attacking with these huge guys.

drop the bow and add 2 lands....this will make it run more consistent. the bow isnt needed in this deck....its a winmore card. or drop the arbor colossus down a few. 21 lands is hurting this deck more than those cards are helping it.

The bow is definitely much better than people think keep it add a couple lands and make more 3 of not 4 of

Kinda is, yeah... It may not be the netdeck but then that's G/R splashing for Domri Rade and Xenagos, The Reveler .
Reverent Hunter
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
Nylea, God of the Hunt
Devotion, no other lands other than Forest s and the Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx .
I'm more confused how you think this ISN'T mono G devotion.. The split R/G of Burning-Tree Emissary ?
January 16, 2014 6:05 p.m.
yup, if one was really devoted to green they would have ONLY green cards
January 16, 2014 6:09 p.m.
"yup, if one was really devoted to green they would have ONLY green cards"
Are you insisting that Burning-Tree Emissary is not a Green card? Because I hate to break it to you, pal...
January 16, 2014 6:18 p.m.
No you aren't. You inferred this deck has cards that aren't Green.
If you're going to troll aimlessly, at least do it right.

I implied that if this deck were to be MONO-GREEN DEVOTION there should be only green and that's it, you really shouldn't have multicolored in a mono deck

Green Devotion with the Burning-Tree Assist seems like too long of a name.

Get over yourself, vasiliosn. You're the only one who thinks that way.

I played a very similar deck for a long time but found it too prone to control and board wipe. I made adjustments to it to make it an earlier threat when you do not get the perfect draw and gave it some anti-control ability. Here is a link if you are interested. I used it last week at Friday Night Magic and went 4/0 against an esper control, azorius control, black devotion, and g/r agro.
