The main goal is to have at least one mana dork, two lands and either a Steel Leaf Champion or a Leatherback Baloth in hand. This allowing you to play those creatures on turn 2. That plus a hand full of pump spells will make the game a real nightmare for your opponent if he or she does not have any creature removal.

The 4x Skylasher are a great help against flyers, faeries, merfolks and blue counter/flicker effects, they take the Kalonian Tusker place in the main board and maintain the "stompability" of the deck.

A playset of Groundbreaker can also be a thing in the baloth's slot, they bring a lot of damage early on in a game. with a playset of Revive to recure them from the graveyard and replay them they could be a viable option
