I've just started working on a non-commander multiplayer deck. I want to do mono green with lots of big creatures, though I might splash black for Putrefy. I chose modern because that gave me access to the baloths, some of my favorites. With the exception of the Llanowar Elves, every creature in the deck triggers Garruk's Packleader and can be sacrificed to Ravenous Baloth so between that, Harmonize and Thragtusk I've got plenty of life gain and card draw.

What worries me is that I've heard Modern is a harsh format, and I'm not sure I can find players for multiplayer games on MTGO for that format. I'm sure Commander is more popular.

I'm also concerned that I don't have enough mana acceleration in the deck. Basically all I've got is the elves and Garruk. I should probably squeeze Farseek or Harrow in there, but I'm not sure what to take out.

I'm considering Giant Growth but Rancor is better in the long run. I might change up the creature base, but the basic core should remain intact.

I'd appreciate any comments. I'm still pretty rusty at deck building.
