Mono Red Aggro by the numbers (2nd @ FNM)

Standard Aggro Competitive FNM Mono-Red Red Deck Wins

omnipath

Sideboard

Creature (4)

Planeswalker (2)

Land (5)

Sorcery (4)

This deck was built using math. I took 8 of the best mono-red decks in recent tournaments and used statistical analysis to determine the cards in this deck.

And that's the mainboard. The sideboard I came up with because my local meta just hoses Aggro post-SB. So knowing this I decided to transform my aggro deck into a mid-range deck. I added more lands and higher CMC baddies aka Stormbreath Dragon and Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker. Post-SB I swapped anywhere from 10 to all 15.

At FNM this performed exactly as I had hoped, dismantling Jeskai and Abzhan and even other red aggro. Everybody I faced was surprised on game two and that was typically how many games it took me to finish a round. Those Stormbreaths are killer.
