Creature (1)

I have been working on this Dragon deck for quite some time now and I am now ready to explain how it works and the basic things needed in a dragon deck for those that want to make one. Now I am not saying that my deck is perfect. Far from that!! It's just experience came with the time of playing them. Before I explain it, here are a few basic things that is a MUST in a dragon deck.

-TIPS-

-Mana ramp is very important in a dragon deck because of their expensive cost so you need cards like:

Dragonspeaker Shaman it's pretty self-explanatory why this is important. You need them! :)

Urza's Incubator You need to be carefull on playing this card as it can benefit opponents that may have dragons as it helps them aswell.

Ruby Medallion helps a lot even though (1) less doesn't seem much.

-Dragons are slow to summon so try to get fast somewhere else! Play cards like:

Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle you need 4 of these babies to deal a lot of damage.

Lightning Bolt is a classic and a must for creature control.

Flame Slash is another good creature control card to have. Cheap and affective :)

-Last little tip. GOOD amount of mana! I'm not telling you to go crazy but more is better. This deck has 22 total (18 basic and, 4 non-basic) Use your judgement to find the right amount.

-Ok enough with tips, time to explain the dragons!

Little is often better, so play cards like Furnace Whelp and make it big! And if you can afford to lose it, Fling it!

Dragonmaster Outcast now I know this isn't a dragon creature but it definitely belongs here! Attach Darksteel Plate and he's good to go.

Crucible of Fire is basically fuel for your dragons.

-Low on health? No worries, attach Basilisk Collar to one of them.

-Certain cards that you would want to fling are:

Furyborn Hellkite, Kilnmouth Dragon, Not nesecerally Moonveil Dragon but another dragon would be good.

*** ONLY FLING IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE A CREATURE OR FOR WIN!! Don't waste a dragon other then that. ___________ Pesky exiles, artifacts, creature control and sacrifice!

This is something that this deck is MOST vulnerable to! We concentrate so much on making big dragons that defense can lack a lot.

There is a few cards to help you out in this sideboard.

Furnace Dragon can be a win win situation against a affinity for artifacts deck. That's if they don't counter it. Reanimate no more! With Tormod's Crypt being played for free! A reanimate deck can cripple.

Flashfires, Curse of Marit Lage, Boiling Seas are all great cards for land control.

And lastly, Anarchy helps against Oblivion Ring and Pacifism. I am sure there are others. But I have just not faced them yet.

As always, if anyone has suggestions, please post them and il be glad to review them! Thanks to all of you for your time!

Flavor text: Dragons are trains. They may be slow to start (in some cases) but when they get rolling, they don't stop for anything until they taste blood and victory. Oh and cook you alive!

It's a bird, its a plane, ITS A CLOUD OF DRAGONS!!!!!!
