Card Breakdown

Rakdos Cackler : 2/2's for 1 are exactly what decks like this need. Plain and simple this is a good card for red creature decks. While not being able to attack through a Sylvan Caryatid on the draw, I can still hold up Titan's Strength/ Rubblebelt Maaka which can make blocking less free for G/R.

Legion Loyalist : He's cute. I didn't like him at first but the Battalion actually does over-perform sometimes (Trample helps pumped up dudes, and Pack Rat tokens cry). He also functions as something to do on turn one, which is important for aggro decks.

Firedrinker Satyr : So this guy is good now. Attacks through Caryatid on the draw and that's huge. While damaging yourself isn't great, if you're at a point where your life total actually matters to you you're already very far behind and this deck doesn't run Shocks so you won't have to worry about too much pain.

Ash Zealot : Starting off the two drops, Ash is incredible. She sets up favorable trades with any monsters that Jund might try for, tells other weenie decks to just stop, and punishs that terror of the format who definitely didn't rotate out last year, Snapcaster Mage.

Firefist Striker : Straight from GTC limited, this is the best of the short cutters by far. Evasion in red is hard to come by, so the lord thy god Mark Rosewater sent us this beautiful soldier to make Polukranos, World Eater feel bad. In all seriousness though, shutting off one of their blockers for free is awesome.

Chandra's pheonix : This bird does work. the Evasion, sweet, the haste, aweomse, the ability to rebuy from time to time, value. Against goldfish decks, you can even just hook the bird up with some Madcap Skills and go to town with your four turn clock.

Rubblebelt Maaka /Titan's Strength. These are listed as one because they both serve essentially the same purposes. They set up favorable trades, help get through damage, and they both have a unique upside as well. With the Maaka, you can sometimes cast as a creature, though I wouldn't reccomend it, an with the strength you can manipulate your draws. Neat. I'm on a 2/2 split right now just because I'm not sure which is better more often, one being better for helping dudes survive, and one being good one on defense.

Searing Blood /Lightning Strike: There is no such thing a a pure aggro deck. You have to have some way of interacting. this decks way is removal and blocking manipulation. I have a 4/2 split on grounds that Searing Blood is useless against control, but if my meta is alot of aggro i'll switch to get more value

Madcap Skills: This card is incredible. It pumps dudes, it manipulates blockers. It does everything this deck wants it too. Play this card.

Sideboard

Fanatic of Mogis/ Frostburn Weird : This is my devotion package. Against decks that can stabilize, they never see one of these guys coming up the rear for extra reach in the long game. I think Frostburn Weird is a terrible magic card but I need it for devotion.

Burning Earth : Let's not get greedy now. Maze's End deck literally scoops to this coming down, and if this ever resolves against Esper, it is very hard for them to pull out.

Searing Blood : Comes in against Monsters, weenies, and the mirror. Doubling as a burn spell and creature removal is sweet.

Shock : Searing Blood numbers 5 and 6 essentially. Against weenie decks you need all the removal you can get to play the control of the matchup.

Seismic Stomp : If there are any defender mill decks out there, I'm ready. Also comes in for Monsters, but hey it's not like that's a ridiculously over played deck.

This deck is new and all feedback is greatly appreciated if you have any suggestions. I am trying to keep this wallet friendly so please do not suggest Stormbreath Dragon or anything crazy like that. Other than that thanks for looking and please leave a comment. Peace out and keep playing red!

Updates Add

Updated Sideboard, swapping out Frostburn Weird for Hammer of Purphoros Weird is slightly underwhelming against anything but dedicated control decks, and Hammer is better in that matchup, while providing the same devotion for Fanatic of Mogis. I'll keep testing though
