Hiya folks and fish fanatics. I think this is the first actual historic deck that I have posted on my page. After messing around with Simic merfolk for a long time, I decided it just wasn't consistently putting down the punches it promised. I don't hate Simic merfolk but I think it's now the right time to turn away from CoCo. Tempo is king in the meta right now. Waiting until turn 4 to do anything impactful just isn't an option right now. Rakdos runs this whole format. It runs at a blazing speed with the right moves to do something impactful every single turn. Time to fight the black blaze with some ice-cold water.

With 16 things to do with only one island on the field and a turn-two whallop available in every hand. By the time you are letting loose your three and four drops, you are usually already just doing clean-up duty. This one comes out like a steamroller and rarely slows down.
