So this is my new mono blue tron deck, it's my competitive modern deck. I alway loved and wanted to build a tron deck then I saw it being played at GPLA (I think) and loved it the unlimited turn combo I think is awesome and so much fun to play! Well here's the break down!
NON CREATURE SPELLS
Epiphany at the Drownyard- can be a huge draw spell and a mental toll on your opponent!
Condescend- a not so great counter spell made great in this deck. Can also help set up your draws and dig for win cons.
Expedition Map- a must have in a tron. Gets your tron pieces.
Repeal some great removal. Can get rid of any nonland permanent.
Remand- it can buy yourself a turn to help set up. Also draws a card which is awesome!
Talisman of Dominance- just helps with mana fixing. You can also discard it to a thirst of knowledge.
Thirst for Knowledge- draws you a lot of cards. You can usually discard a talisman or expedition map when you don't need them.
Mindslaver- one of the main wincons in the deck with Academy Ruins you can get an infinite turn combo. And a lot of fun to use against your opponent!
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon he's got a built in lightning bolt, and can exile many things on the board at the same time.
Oblivion Stone great when you can produce a lot mana, and just dump fate counters on everything then have a one sided board wipe!
CREATURE SPELLS
Treasure Mage- can grab wincons like wurmcoils or mindslavers or something.
Solemn Simulacrum- can grab you some blue mana and provide a blocker that gives you card draw.
Wurmcoil Engine- usually the first thing I try to run out there to help stabilize myself. Then proceed with trying to kill the opponent or combo off and then kill your opponent.
Platinum Angel- as the professor says "a last minute panic button."
Sundering Titan- is especially effective against multi colored land bases, but still a great blocker and attacker.
Well there ya have it! Mono blue tron, it's very powerful when played correctly and can decemate the feild if you're playing smartly.
Let me know in the come the comments if you have any feed back or tips about the deck enjoy!
Also the sideboard is not set in stone yet.
