this list looks solid. How has 4 mana rocks treated you? I always found it clunked my hand up too much, maybe instead you could add a fabricate. I find its utility astounding especially when paired with a single copy of snapcaster in the main. I've never seen urborg as a way to make dismember easier to cast so plus 1 for that innovation it's definitely something I'll test. spacial contortion is also pretty solid when you need more removal.

Quick question for you, any reason you don't run Oboro, Palace in the Clouds or Minamo, School at Water's Edge? Their blue sources that can't be hit by Sundering Titan.

Has Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth been worth the card slot with Dismember being the only card needed for it? Granted it can hit more creatures, but Spatial Contortion could be a decent replacement.

Would be interested if you could take a look at my build with any criticism. I am still debating on Chalice of the Void mainboard or not, possibly whether or not I want to keep Batterskull mainboard, and possibly Trinisphere for a lot of decks out there.

Counters, Wurmcoil, Titan, then Ugin. Beat that.

@Pheardemons - Oboro, Palace in the Clouds and Minamo, School at Water's Edge are nice, and they can certainly replace two Islands. I just don't own any and they are individually expensive and don't have much of a payoff in return. So I've just never bought/added them.

Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth helps with casting Dismember, it also lets me destroy any one of their lands as a Swamp with Sundering Titan so I get an extra land removal. And lastly, it opens up different sideboard options. Though I'm not using anything but Dismember right now, I've used various black tricks in the sideboard at different times.

It's been a good year since I've played MTG or updated this deck, so it might not be completely compatible with the current meta. It is however very good at adapting to differing metas, which is why I like this deck. I can pick it up at almost any point and do well against most Modern metas.

Nice build! I just modified my land base based on yours.

What do you think of Platinum Emperion instead of Platinum Angel? I've found that some decks will just let the angel go, continue attacking, get your life to a negative value and then remove the angel. Platinum Emperion costs only 1 more to cast, is stronger and has a more favorable effect, I think.

Have you considered Everflowing Chalice for these turns where we don't have anything to do?

A few others to consider: Aether Spellbomb, Epiphany at the Drownyard, Thespian's Stage.

@domju - Platinum Angel is significantly better than Platinum Emperion for a couple reasons. The first is that Platinum Angel stops you losing from infect and really any other type of win-con, like mill or what not. U-Tron dies to infect 99% of the time if you can't get an angel in play. The second is that Platinum Angel costs exactly as much as your 3 Tron lands produce together. A turn 3 Platinum Angel can win games, or at the very least can stop you from losing to aggro. I guess a 3rd reason would be evasion with flying.

As far as Everflowing Chalice goes, this deck does not need more access to mana. You keep mana open for many reasons; counterspelling being the most obvious. But even on turns you actually don't do anything, you affect your opponents mindset and what he's willing to play while you have X open mana available. Thespian's Stage would mess with our blue mana sources too much, as it is we already run 14 lands that don't tap for blue in this mono-blue deck. Epiphany at the Drownyard looks pretty interesting though, and may definitely be worth playing around with.

@21 - Mostly because I decided to use Spatial Contortion over Dismember in the mainboard.
