Let me know how Anointed Peacekeeper is because I am thinking about removing my Skyclave Apparition for Anointed Peacekeeper because my Skyclave Apparitions cannot remove the murktides and rhinos in my meta.

philosopher Peacekeeper is so so good. It was hard for me to justify removing Skyclave as I loved them, but I am very impressed - enough to keep 4

Nice build. My only concern is Shadowspear - as it really feels like it has no place here. I would have thought 23 lands be a more ideal number also, seeing as you have a pretty big reliance on 3-drops.

I've been testing lands and 22 still feels ok. we have Aether Vial, last ditch we have Timeless Dragon's planescycling. we don't need tons of land, we need 3.

As far as Shadowspear, I've played with that slot quite a bit. I think I link spear there more than other options. I've played with Sword of Light and Shadow and it seemed expensive if something happened to Stoneforge Mystic. Spear at least can be cast and attached to anything.

How about Detention Sphere?! This seems to fit your deck.

but also i think it gains a lot of strength being mono colored (though i did have a previous boros build)

i have considered the usefulness of Touch the Spirit Realm vs Ephemerate for some of that same (though only creatures and artifacts) o-ring like action, but ephemerate is just too good

Ahhhh. Mousemke I think Touch the Spirit Realm is great monocolored white for the same effect as Detention Sphere. And, it's the same MV.

Was looking at new cards. What do you think about these.

Soulless Jailer new hate piece

Against All Odds small reanimation and blink. Potentially good

I’ve playtested Soulless Jailer a bit in my own taxes shell and it feels… awkward. It does stop some things the opponent can do but not everything you’d expect (they can still cast Gravecrawler or Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger from the graveyard, for example). Personally I was disappointed by this card - there’s better things we can do for 2 mana.

Against All Odds looks terrible/unplayable just due to its mana cost.

Ossification likewise just feels a bit weak when On Thin Ice exists

Soulless Jailer is cute but i think i'd rather just use rest in peace. harder to remove and ends all graveyard nonsense.

Against All Odds seems expensive but also worth noting, it being a sorcery instead of an instant is a big deal

Ossification is a but interesting but too narrow. for creatures i would rather use On Thin Ice or Skyclave Apparition. Other than that March of Otherworldly Light would be my go to more general removal

I agree to the above statements. I havent played modern irl for a few years but I think some of these are going to be budget alternatives in the future so perhaps modern playable just not optimal for instance im comparing Against All Odds to a unique to white version of Collected Company which if it was instant would be much better.

Nice build. Spear is more useful than it gets credit for imo. Touch the spirit realm is such a fun card to pull shenanigans with.

so this deck is being retired for a GW version. Mostly Arbitrary Taxation (unless the new deck doesn't work... i can always unretire it)

I'm going to build a taxes deck around Knight-Errant of Eos because it's like Militia Bugler but with a stronger effect. I am not sure how much the convoke ability will impact my deck; however, a 4/4 blocker will do work.

philosopher yeah, I'm not convinced of it. 5 mana is a lot. For 5 mana we could have MoM. And this deck is very mana light, given the ghost quarters and field of ruin. Convoke could work but this deck also doesn't get tons of creatures out, and if it does then you're long of in a win more situation.

But hey! Test it out! LMK if it works out, I've been wrong before ^^
